Mike Tyson Gives Update on Health Ahead of Jake Paul Fight: ‘Now Feeling 100%’

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Boxing Match Press Conference

After an inflight medical episode, Mike Tyson updated his condition via X. He is still ready to fight Jake Paul.

“Now feeling 100%,” Tyson wrote, “even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”

The YouTuber-turned-boxer recently reassured fans that his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson is still on, despite Tyson’s recent health scare. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer took to social media on Monday to address rumors of a cancellation following Tyson’s medical emergency over the weekend.

Here’s what Paul posted “You love to make s–t up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson,” Paul wrote on X.

Get this: Tyson, 57, experienced nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer flare-up while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. His representative told Page Six that Tyson “became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing.” They added that Tyson is “appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him” and clarified that he is “doing great.”

The sanctioned match between Tyson and Paul is set to broadcast live on Netflix, which is the biggest streamer in the world, from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20. Tyson expressed enthusiasm for the fight, calling it a “no-brainer” at a press conference earlier this month. “He’s the new up-and-coming guy on the scene. I like shaking the sports world to its core, and I’m doing that now. It’s just something I want to do,” Tyson explained.

Paul also stated the significance of their fight, stating, “This is quite literally the biggest fight of the 21st century.” He emphasized the match’s global reach, adding, “Because of the fact that it’s Mike Tyson versus me, but also the fact that it’s in 700 million households.”

Iron Mike, who became the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986 by defeating Trevor Berbick, has an impressive 50-6-2 record with 44 knockouts. In contrast, Paul holds a 9-1 record with six knockouts. Despite his relative inexperience, Paul remains confident. “I’m a natural-born heavyweight,” he declared. “I’m gonna show Mike who has more power. I think he’s underestimating me, I think everyone else is underestimating me.”

Young Money Radio returns with an exclusive interview featuring Lil Wayne and Lineal Lightweight Champion, Terence Crawford. Known as the 2014 Fighter of the Year, Crawford delves into his illustrious boxing career and shares insights into his pre-fight mindset.

The conversation between Lil Wayne and Crawford extends beyond the boxing ring, touching on strategies to attract more attention to the sport. They explore the intersection of music and boxing, with Crawford revealing the musical influences that help him focus and prepare for his matches.

Among topics were the Paul brothers who have taken on combat sports in boxing and WWE. Crawford says he views the two as boxers.

“I look at Jake Paul and Logan Paul as real fighters,” Crawford said. Real boxers. For the purpose being how long they’ve been doing. They started doing the backyard brawls with the gloves on years ago. A lot of people probably don’t even know that. That was when they was doing the little YouTube stuff. Then they start training. Getting serious, training with serious boxers. So I look at them as real fighters. But the sport of boxing, it just needs more eyes on it.”

As far as his music choices, Crawford says: “I have some Lil Wayne, I have some Anita Baker, I have some Kirk Franklin, I have some jazz, I have a little country. It just variety. I just put everything in one, and it just-Because I might get up and I might be hyped on a song, but I like to be mellow. Save all the energy for the fight. Then Anita Baker come on, and then I’m just sitting there, I’m just in the zone.”

Jake Paul Blames The ‘Drake Curse’ For His Loss To Tommy Fury: ‘Why Do You Do This To Me?’

Drake Loses $400K After Betting on Jake Paul to Win Latest Boxing Match

Over the weekend, YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul went eight rounds against Tyson Fury’s half-brother, Tommy Fury. Fury would end up winning in a split decision despite being knocked down in the last round, making the bout Paul’s first loss.

During the post-fight press conference, a reporter told Paul that Drake had bet $400k on him to win and asked if the “Drake curse” played a role in his loss.

Paul responded by jokingly blaming Drake for his loss.

“Did you hear about Drake betting $400,000 on you tonight and do you feel like that affected you through the Drake curse?” she asked.

Jake Paul responded: “Fuck! This is Drake’s fault! Drake, bro! Why you do this to me! Nah, it’s my fault, but $400,000 is nothing to him.

“He’s won a lot of money betting on me before so he’s probably about even now. Sorry, Drake. I’ma get that W in the rematch.”

For those unfamiliar with the Drake curse, athletes or teams tend to lose after Drake takes a photo with them or shows his support. The Drake curse started in 2013 after the Toronto Raptors named Drizzy their global ambassador then gained a reputation for choking big games. The next year, Drake showed support for Kentucky during March Madness but would end up losing to Wisconsin. The curse would continue until recent when of course the Raptors won the 2019 NBA finals, and after Drizzy shoes his support for Tyson Fury during his 3rd match with Deontay Wilder, which he won.

SOURCE SPORTS: Jake Paul’s Madison Square Garden Fight Canceled Due to Opponent’s Weight Issue

Jake Paul Set to Enter Deal with Showtime Sports

Jake Paul was set to headline a boxing match at Madison Square Garden on Aug 6 but it is now canceled. According to ESPN, Paul’s opponent, Hasim Rahman Jr., had a weight issue. The fight was promoted by Most Valuable Promotions.

In a statement, Rahman planned to weigh in at 215 on Friday. He signed a contract at 200 pounds and a compromise was reached to compete at 205. Rahman’s team decided to withdraw from the fight if it was not at 215 pounds.

MVP and Jake Paul will not reward someone that has conducted themselves in such a deceiving and calculated manner,” the statement said. “Therefore, MVP is left with no choice but to cancel the August 6th event. This forced outcome impacts Jake Paul, Amanda Serrano and every other fighter on this card who have trained tirelessly over the past few months for this event. The boxing community must hold Hasim Rahman Jr. liable for his lack of professionalism.”

Serrano was booked in a co-main event against Brenda Carbajal.

[WATCH] Jake Paul Offers Kanye West And Pete Davidson $30M To Box On Pay-Per-View

Screen Shot 2022 03 15 at 11.47.09 AM

The ever evolving beef between Kim Kardashian’s former hubby Kanye West and her current beau Pete Davidson has everyone from Charlemagne Tha God to D.L. Hughley weighing in on the publicly controversial back and forth between the music/fashion mogul and his ex’s new comedian boyfriend. Now, boxing prospect/YouTube star Jake Paul has offered up $30 million to West and Davidson to square up on pay-per-view.

Even though it’s highly unlikely that West or Paul would step into the ring to fight, the offer by Paul is the bait that would seem to draw Ye out front for a response.

Jake Paul Joins In On Pete Davidson Hate, Says He’s “Soon To Get Slapped”

jake paul and pete davidson

There has been a domino effect ever since Kanye rapped about wanting to “beat Pete Davidson’s ass” on his latest track “Eazy.” Davidson has reportedly hired more security out of precaution of one of Kanye’s fans trying to harm him. Now, Jake Paul has joined in on the “beat Pete Davidson up” train as well.

Paul recently took to Twitter to threaten the SNL cast member. Paul wrote, “Kanye @ I on his ass now Soon to get slapped” over a post about Davidson hiring more security after the Kanye diss.

However, Jake does not seem to be fighting Ye’s battle for him. In the past, Jake and Pete have had beef stemming from a Saturday Night Live sketch. In the sketch, Davidson made fun of Paul’s match between him and Ben Askren. Davidson called the event “a really wild day” for boxing because it showed “how low it’s truly sunk.”

Jake Paul addressed Davidson during an episode of the Impaulsive podcast. “Fuck that guy,” he said. “He won’t do shit. He won’t ever be a part of one of those ever again. He fucked this shit up, bro.”

Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn violent.
