Finally, Apple’s worst-kept secret the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max are here. Today at the Steve Jobs Theater located on the tech company’s Cupertino campus, Tim Cook announced the latest models of its ridiculously popular smartphone model.

Before we got to the main event, Apple got oohs and ahhs from the crowd after speaking on Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Series 5 Apple Watch, and 7th generation iPad. But that’s not we were tuned into the event for if we keeping it a buck. We wanted to see Tim Cook pull the lid off the weird-looking smartphone that has been circulating the web for months.

First up was the iPhone 11 confirming that yes that box on the back that most people find rather unattractive is real. The phone features a dual-camera system which features both an Ultra-Wide and Wide camera and supports 4K video. Shoot in a low-light situation? That’s not a problem for the iPhone 11 thanks to the new Automatic Night Mode feature which utilizes adaptive bracketing to capture great shots taken at night.

The front-facing camera is also gets bumped up to a 12-megapixel TrueDepth wide-angle camera so you can tell a much bigger story with your selfies. Oh, and if you’re a fan of portrait mode, don’t worry that is coming back better than ever with a new beautiful monochrome filter. The iPhone 11 when it launches September 20, starts at $699 and will come in six different beautiful colors.

Tim Cook wasn’t finished, much to the joy of those in attendance he announced long-rumored iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. Unlike its lower-end cousin, the higher-end model features a triple-camera system with all-new Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto cameras. Each camera records in 4K video and features extended dynamic range and cinematic video stabilization. This version of the smartphone is Apple’s first “Pro” model and if it’s successful — chances are high, it will be — will not be the last.

The iPhone Pro and Pro Max will also feature automatic night mode, but a much more advanced portrait mode with the ability to choose Wide and Telephoto framing. A new image processing system called Deep Fusion will also allow owners to take very detailed photos. Utilizing the power A13 Bionic chip, Deep Fusion uses advanced machine learning to “do pixel-by-pixel processing of photos, optimizing for texture, details, and noise in every part of the photo.”

Both models of the iPhone 11 will be available for pre-order at 5 a.m. PDT on Friday, September 13.

As you expected, Twitter had thoughts and tons of jokes about the new camera design. We took the liberty of compiling the best reactions for you to the latest iPhone in the gallery below.

Apple Reportedly Launching Updated Version of iPhone SE In 2020

Apple Reportedly Launching Updated Mid-Range iPhone SE Model In 2020

Source: Anadolu Agency / Getty

All the buzz is currently being directed at the iPhone Pro or iPhone 11 whatever Apple is going to call it. But word on the tech streets is the company is planning on bringing back it’s mid-range SE model in 2020.

Yup, you read correctly the company that Jobs built is already thinking about what it is planning on doing next year when it comes to its ridiculously popular smartphone. According to a new report from Nikkei, Apple will be relaunching the mid-range iPhone SE model it initially scrapped back in 2018. The company hopes that it will offset the sales decline it saw in regions like China and India.

According to reports, it will look similar to the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 model that launched back in 2018. It will have sport an LCD screen, a single-lens rear camera, 128GB of storage as well as some of the components from higher-end iPhone models that are dropping this year.

Per Nikkei:

The new model would be Apple’s first low-cost smartphone since the launch of the iPhone SE in 2016, which started at $399. Though the name and price of the new model haven’t been decided, it is viewed as the latest generation of the iPhone SE.

The decision to revive the lower-cost model comes amid a rough patch for the iPhone. Apple reported its first-ever decline in iPhone shipments for last year, and this summer it lost the title of No. 2 smartphone maker to Huawei. The U.S. company also has suffered two straight quarters of shipment and market share drops this year, according to IDC data. The global smartphone industry overall also faces its third consecutive annual decline in 2019, according to IDC projections.

We expect to hear more details about the phone at Apple’s upcoming September 10 event. Stay tuned, we will be delivering all of the details from the event.

New Details Emerge About Apple’s Next iPhone, Water Resistant AirPods & Bigger MacBook, Report

Details Emerge About Apple's Three New iPhone Models Ahead of Event

Source: VCG / Getty

Apple’s worst-kept secret is its three new iPhone 11 models featuring that not so attractive triple-camera system on the back. Bloomberg shared more details about the highly-anticipated smartphones and revealed the company will be announcing updates to other devices as well.
There has been a lot of buzz around the next generation of the iPhone. The chatter specifically about its design and its triple-camera system located on the back of the phone. Thanks to Bloomberg, we now know what to expect the from the successors of the iPhone XS, XS  Max, and XR Models.

According to Bloomberg’s report, Apple will now be offering a “Pro” model that will serve as the upgrade to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The so-called Pro models will feature a new rear camera system equipped with a third sensor that will allow users to capture wide-angle photos as well as videos. The sensors will each take their own image allowing the artificial intelligence software to give you the best-combined picture. The resolution of the new camera will also reportedly be improved with the ability to take photos in low-light situations.

Video recording on the Pro iPhone will also be significantly improved. Users will not only be able to record video, but also edit, crop and add effects while filming. Another welcomed feature reportedly coming will be the ability to wirelessly charge your AirPods by placing the charging case on the back of the phone. Samsung Galaxy S10  and Galaxy S10 Plus owners have been enjoying this feature for some time now. No word if you will be able to charge other iPhones the same way, but it’s safe to assume that will be the case.

The new iPhone will look almost identical to its predecessor as far as its look cosmetically, but that’s where the similarities stop. They will come in more color options with some of sporting a matte finish. The phones will also be equipped with new shatter-resistance technology. The iPhone’s water-resistance ability will also be upgraded, allowing users to fully submerge their phones longer than 30 minutes.

The upgrade to iPhone XR will come with a second rear camera that will take improved portrait mode photos and add optimal zoom. It will also come in a new green finish.

Underneath the hood for all three iPhone models will be Apples faster A13 processors to not only power the phone but help them handle augmented reality features. There will also be rear 3D cameras that will improve the devices’ AR capabilities.

Apple is not stopping there, they will also be announced updates to the Apple Watch with the arrival of watchOS 6 software. Fans of the wearable can also expect new case finishes to be announced as well as ceramic and titanium models.

Bloomberg also hinted at those premium AirPods that will cost more than the current $159 model will be announced as well. The expensive AirPods will reportedly be water-resistant and have noise-canceling capability. No word on if the optional wireless charging case will come standard. They are slated for a 2020 release, so if you don’t want to pick up a pair of PowerBeats Pros right now you’re gonna have to wait a tad bit longer.

Last but certainly not least, there will be an 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros sporting camera and processor upgrades. Apple will also be doing away with the original 9.7-inch iPad replacing it with a less-powerful 10.2-inch design. The MacBook Pro will also see an update in size sporting a 16-inch screen while still remain close in comparison to the 15-inch model.
