International superstar Davido has once again demonstrated his commitment to giving back to the community through The David Adeleke Foundation (DAF). Today, the foundation proudly announced a remarkable donation of N237,000,000.00 ($300,000 US equivalent) to orphanages throughout Nigeria. Led by Mrs. Titi Adebayo, the chair of the DAF Disbursement Committee, the funds were successfully distributed to 424 orphanages, benefiting a total of 13,818 children.
Davido stated, “I founded the DAF in 2022 with a strong desire and passion to continually assist others and create a proper framework for ongoing charitable works to benefit the good people of Nigeria. Through this foundation, we have raised millions of Naira and disbursed much-needed funds to hundreds of orphanages, significantly improving the lives of countless children.”
This latest donation follows Davido’s previous generous contributions as part of his global mission to support those in need. Reflecting on the impact of his previous donations in 2021, the philanthropist expressed how it left an indelible mark on his heart. Afrobeats star Davido has a new album coming out soon. After the death of his 3-year-old son last year, the “Fall” rapper took the time to heal with his family. He took to Instagram to post a trailer for the album with a caption thanking his fans during his hiatus.
“Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new.”
His new album is titled Timeless and is a follow-up to his 2020 album, A Better Time. His fans took to the comments to celebrate him and his comeback, as he was truly missed.
Just before Davido announced his return on Instagram, his hype man, Special Spesh, was becoming impatient. Along with fans questioning him about Davido’s whereabouts, Special Spesh contemplated leaking a new song. Now, it’s possible that he isn’t talking about releasing a Davido song, but fans are speculating this to be the case. Many fans encouraged him to do so on Instagram after he posted his frustration.

Afrobeats star Davido is mourning the loss of his son, Ifeanyi. According to The Guardian, the Lagos State Police command has confirmed the death of the three-year-old boy, who Davido parented with his partner Chioma Rowland.
Ifeanyi drowned in a pool at Davido’s house in Banana Island, Lagos State. The Daily Mail states that Davido’s son was underwater for an extended amount of time before being transferred to the hospital.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin stated the investigation is open, and anyone believed to be a suspect will be arrested.
“Domestic staff at Davido’s home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened,” Hundeyin said. “I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.
“‘If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest.”
Davido and Chioma were reportedly not at home when the incident occurred.
