Lost In Riddim 2022 Music Lineup

Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Ella Mai, and Skepta are scheduled to headline Lost In Riddim 2022. The two-day celebration of music, culture and community officially returns October 1-2 at Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose, California.

 The Lost In Riddim line up released below features performances from Wale, Capella Grey, Fireboy DML, Tiwa Savage, Sean Paul, Stefflon Don, Tems and more. It’s set to be a cultural celebration offering fans a larger curated selection of worldly sounds, according to an official statement.

“As proud children of immigrant parents, we created Lost In Riddim because we wanted to offer a festival experience more authentic to ourselves and our culture. Something that speaks to us not only as music fans, but who we are as people,” said Fornati Kumeh, festival co-founder and talent buyer. “With a new and larger location, not to mention this incredible lineup of international artists locked in to perform, I’m expecting this to be a weekend for the record books. We really hope fans worldwide will come show out at Lost In Riddim this October.”

[WATCH] Pretty Lou’s 4th Annual Cancer Research Charity Concert Feat. Fat Joe, Capella Grey, Dream Doll Brings New Life To Irving Plaza

On Wednesday, April 20th, HOT 97’s Heavy Hitter, DJ Pretty Lou celebrated his 4th annual birthday and benefit concert for cancer research at Irving Plaza in New York City. 

Performances included a soulful set by Suzann Christine, energy-charged sets by CJ and King Bulova, B-Lovee gave a birthday shout-out to Kay Flock during his set. J.I. the Prince of NY performed some of his fans’ favorite hits. Dream Doll and Capella Grey performed “You Know My Body.” Additional performances included Nemz, Baby Boy Slimee, Soribel, Lito, Deon Young, Rowdy Rebel, and Black Goon.  

Fat Joe, who has been a close support system throughout Lou’s seven-year battle with Leukemia, returned to the plaza to close out the show, performing classics and newer hits. Joe stated, “Whatever was donated in the event, I’ll double it.” 

During an intermission, Lou stated that the night was dedicated to his mother as he revealed that she is battling lung cancer. He explained to the audience that he almost canceled the concert due to the news, but his mother said, “No amigo, the concert goes on.” Before the show, he told her, “If I fought and won, I need you to win too.” 

The concert was hosted by HOT 97’s Mia Belle and Power 105.1 FM‘s Len Boogz. Notable attendees included Hot 97’s DJ Enuff, Hot 97’s DJ Camilo, DJ E. Stylez, Sexxy Stace Face, Maserati Maine, Gorilla Nems, Iman Nunez, Prince Lawrence, Marty Fresh, 5ive Mics, and more. Sponsors included Color Works and Bell Mistubishi.

The proceeds of this year’s event went directly to the Hebert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which treated Pretty Lou. Premium boutique and lifestyle brand, Extra Butter donated an additional four thousand dollars to the charity event. 

J.I. the Prince said, “Pretty Lou ’s a warrior, a champion.”

ICYMI: Capella Grey’s Official “Gyalis” Remix Features Chris Brown and Popcaan

This summer’s badman ting anthem just got a super upgrade. Bronx Native, Capella Grey dropped the official “Gyalis” remix featuring R&B star Chris Brown and Dancehall star Popcaan.

After releasing independently in March of 2021, the infectious “Gyalis” quickly rose to be one of the hottest tracks this summer.

The record spawned a number of unofficial remixes from Kranium, to A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and others. Even Chris Brown was quoted as saying that it was, “the hardest s**t out right now.”

The track reflects Grey’s Jamaican heritage while borrowing from the beat of Juvenile’s “Back That A** Up.”

26-year-old, Grey released the visual back in August via Capitol Records and is showing no signs of slowing down with the release of his official remix. 

“Gyalis” dominated on Apple Music charts and reached No. 1 on Apple’s R&B/Soul charts.
