[WATCH] Latto’s Manager Jokes About Making Panties a Merch Item During Future Tours

latto

Look for Panties by Latto at a merch stand near you. Latto’s underwear has been a topic of conversation all week.

A user recently posted side-by-side images of Latto wearing identical cheetah print pants at different outlets, which went viral. “Can’t afford new pants?” read the caption.

While the comedy was present at first, Latto paraphrased the tweet, saying, “Oh no, it’s the panty police.” The post has received approximately 8K retweets and 139K likes. Latto decided to take it a step farther, and the laughter continued. Latto shared a photo to her 9.8 million Instagram followers showing five different pairs of cheetah underwear, writing, “I’m going to wear a pair today and sell em tomorrow.”

The panties hit eBay with the auction beginning at 99 cents but almost reaching $100,000 in bids. eBay shut down the panty party, citing a violation of the “used clothing policy” The eBay listing read: “Latto’s everyday cheetah print panties. Used. As seen on Latto multiple times.”

After the sale was halted, Latto’s manager, Cortez Bryant, had a brilliant idea. Sell the panties on tour.

“Hey man, we gotta song coming out called ‘Lottery’ and you hit the jackpot when you get something like that,” Bryant said. “I didn’t expect that to go $95,000 but we may have to sell that as a piece of merchandise.”

He added, “We have to put that in the merchandise store and let y’all have a piece of Lotto.”

You can see Bryant joking about the merch offer below.

Now that Lil Wayne is no longer under the thumb of Cash Money Records the Hollygrove MC has his sights on his business. Tunechi’s longtime manager details his newest move in an in-depth interview.

Vibe recently conducted a Q&A with Cortez Bryant where he discussed Weezy’s newest partnership; a Young Money x American Eagle collaboration. While co-branding with the Pittsburgh based company took many of TuneChi’s fans by surprise, the executive maintains that doing the unexpected aligns perfectly with the YM vision.

“I’ve always seen American Eagle growing up and at the mall. In my opinion, as far as where we’re from, it represented a certain demographic. I kind of looked at their strategy and what their brand is about, you know I did my research” he revealed. “We just don’t hit these partnerships because the bag is right. I had to do my research on what their brand stands for and where they were trying to go. All their ideas aligned with what we were trying to do with our brand. So we came together and it was a natural fit.”

This is not the first time Wayne has played in the fashion game. His first venture TRUKFIT, a sly acronym for “The Reason U Kill For It,” has since fizzled and “Tez” admits the timing of the launch wasn’t in their favor. “TRUKFIT was like a Sean John, like a Rocawear, that was our version of streetwear. We added in Macy’s and all that. But a weird trend happened were a lot of the kids started getting into the merch game and online sales and that’s why we kind of put TRUKFIT on the back burner,” he explained.

The Young Money x American Eagle collection will be available starting August 10. This drop will feature Young Money graphics, new denim washes for men and new curvy fits for women.

Lil Wayne Has A New Album Coming, Reportedly Fires Management [Photos]

Blink 182 x Lil Wayne Tour

Lil Wayne is not taking his foot off the pedal. Rumor has it that he is prepping another album for a summer release and more.

Complex is reporting that Weezy might have another project in the works. While the details have yet to surface the clues are apparently right in front of our faces. Earlier this week the “Uproar” rapper announced an upcoming tour with Blink-182. When fans hit Ticketmaster and purchased their passes they were pleasantly surprised with a prompt saying “Each ticket comes with “a physical CD per order” of either “blink-182’s or Lil Wayne’s forthcoming album.”

Additionally TuneChi has been dropping coffin emojis throughout all of his recent social media posts which alludes to his much delayed Funeral album.

In other Wayne news it seems he has parted ways from his longtime partners and managers Cortez Bryant and Mack Maine. As spotted on Vibe the New Orleans native apparently terminated the services of his childhood friends prior to the release of his last effort Tha Carter 5. Carter’s former attorney Ron Sweeney has filed a lawsuit against the two claiming they conspired to get him fired.

The Blast reports “Sweeney claims he worked with Lil Wayne for nearly 14 years and provided around-the-clock services to the rapper for 10% of the income of the deals he worked on. He believes he helped Wayne and his businesses generate tens — if not hundreds — of millions of dollars over time.”

While Bryant nor Maine have formally commented on whether or not they still handle Weezy’s affairs their personal IG pages indicate everything is business is as usual. Cortez’s last couple of posts show him out and about during the NFL draft representing the Young Money Sports agency.

Nicki Minaj Parts Ways With Her Managment Team

2019 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival - Weekend 1 - Day 3

So far 2019 has not been too kind to Nicki Minaj whether it be her personal life or her music career, it’s been a struggle thus far. Now the Queen rapper has made another questionable move and decided to part ways with her longtime managers, Cortez Bryant, and Gee Roberson.

Billboard is reporting that Nicki Minaj and her management team have decided it best for them to go their separate ways in what is being described as an “amicable” split with Nicki yet to announce a replacement.

Roberson and Bryant, co-CEOs of the Blueprint Group, have repped Minaj through the majority of her career, and have managed Lil Wayne, G-Eazy and Rich The Kid, among others. The Atlanta-based management group partnered with Maverick when the conglomerate was formed in 2014.

The move comes in the midst of Nicki going through the roughest patch of her career thus far. From Joe Budden questioning her possible drug abuse to Cardi B trying to put hands on her at NYFW last year, Nicki’s been embroiled in all kinds of controversy for the past year and change. And now this. We’re not sure what to make of it but hopefully, it’s not a sign of things spiraling out of control in her life.

Nicki Minaj Cuts Ties W/ Longtime Managers

Nicki Minaj Selfie

Young Money’s Nicki Minaj is going to greener pastures. The hip-hop superstar has reportedly parted ways with her longtime management.

According to reports, Onika is no longer with Gee Roberson, Cortez Bryant and Blueprint / Maverick Management.

The source says the decision was mutual and amicable, and there was no specific reason for the split, adding that the rapper currently does not have a manager. A source tells Variety that the split had happened before Minaj’s guest appearance at Ariana Grande’s headlining Coachella set on Sunday night, which was plagued with sound problems. It is unclear whether Minaj will appear with Grande again this Sunday during Coachella’s second weekend. Some outlets have weighed-in on the uphill battles Minaj has experienced over the past 12 months.

Perhaps a new team is exactly what’s needed given the rocky time Minaj has experienced over the last year. Indeed,  the run-up to the release of her latest LP ‘Queen’ was far from smooth and her (attempted) touring endeavours have made headlines for the wrong reasons too. (That Grape Juice)

Last month, Nicki made jaws drop by sharing a very NSFW lingerie pic with the masses.

A few hours prior, Nicki raised eyebrows by sharing a throwback childhood pic of herself and boyfriend Kenneth Petty.
