The pandemic hit at an unfortunate time for the Compton leg of the Black Ink Crew franchise. As viewers were able to get introduced to the cast of Compcon artists, a halt in production, and the entire world, delayed more of the stories the shop led by iamCompton.

Now, Black Ink Crew: Compton is back in season two, allowing us to learn more about the hottest Black artists on the nation’s west coast. iamCompton led that group to Atlanta to take on their counterparts from the Chicago and New York Shops.

While on hand in Atlanta, iamCompton spoke with The SOURCE about owning the first tattoo shop in Compton, gearing up for the “Battle of the Tattoo Titans,” and more.

As a fan of Black Ink, I feel like the pandemic screwed me over. Just as we got introduced to you all, the story got cut short. How was it being a shop owner and continuing business right after the initial stages of opening the shop and then the pandemic?

Honestly, it was a struggle as a first-time shop owner. Trying to do something in Compton, being the first tattoo shop ever in Compton. It was a lot of pressure on me. And then when the pandemic hit, it was like, oh man, I got this far and now I got to somehow keep it above water. I just took it one day at a time and thank God that I’m here now.

Do you feel there is a never-ending set of roadblocks and challenges?

Oh for sure. Obstacles come left and right through life it’s it is a rollercoaster, but I’ll never stop. Might ease out for a while but that’s, that’s part of life going through those hurdles.

What have you learned about yourself as a person, but also a business owner, and then a tattoo artist?

Don’t take nothing personal. It’s just business. Don’t mix emotions with business.

BlackInkDAY1 6704 2021112085811857 600x400 1

When you got here to Atlanta and saw the setup for the competition. How did you feel?

That was exciting. I was like, oh, hold up. We important [laughs]. Y’all took the time out to do something for us. You get kind of numb when you been working for a long time and tattooing a lot of people or to see somebody spend $1,500 on a pair of shoes or $5,000 on a bag, but they didn’t want to pay for $500 tattoo at the most. It throws you off and you feel like you are not doing enough and it’s a difficult job. Now, everything changed and now people appreciate it a little more for art. And even the things like the NFTs and stuff, the artists being more appreciated, more valuable. And that’s what I felt walking out like, oh, y’all value us. So it was excitement, a good feeling.

BlackInkDAY1 6721 2021112085811859 600x400 1

When you first heard about this battle and everything coming together for it, placing you in the same arena with the other two shops and on this grand stage, what was your initial thoughts?

I thought it was dope. I thought it was a great idea. I’ve been waiting to be a part of something cool like that. I didn’t know what it was, but that was it. You can take this all over the world and have fun with it. It’s the culture and it’s a part of my brand. I done dreamed about this environment, not knowing it, you know what I’m saying? I can do what I love.

This is a family environment, but at the same time, there’s a level of competitiveness that comes into it. How did you prepare yourself and your team for this?

I think they got a lot of competitive nature. I wasn’t concerned about them competing, but as far as coming and being prepared and having everything you need on a spot and then like do this right now and figure it out. You got this amount of time with the pressure for cameras and, and stuff like that. It’s difficult. But we deal with that anyway. So I think it’s dope. It’s all fun. It’s all up. At the same time, you can display your talent. They get to show their skills under pressure and see what obstacles they overcome at the end of the day. We all get a chance to use the platform to show people what we do.

Reflecting back on season one, was there a big lesson you would take a way from it?

I think I would have did the tattoo shop thing a couple of years before the show. It’s still cool that I did it the way I did it. Cause I showed the process of starting and building it from scratch. You got to see the struggles and then there you gonna be at two years from now.

You’re competing against Ryan and Ceasar. You are a boss in your own right. How do you feel coming into it? Do you look at yourself as the underdog or the upstart that is taking on the guys who have had more TV time?

Honestly, when I played football I learned to focus on your assignment and what you are supposed to do. Now me, one on one, I play receiver I’m on that island. It’s a DB trying to stop me. I’m not even worried about you. I’m calm. I know my assignment. I know what I need to do. As long as I can get to the zone, I’m good. Take your time. Be patient, keep calm. Do the assignment, get in the zone. Once you in that zone, your talent going to speak. Your art is going to speak. And this is what we do.

You art ranges from tattooing to music. Where do you draw the inspiration for your music?

I’m speaking on situations that I’m been through. I seen my life flash before my eyes and I’ve been robbed and woke up to some gun in my face. I done seen life from a different perspective. So all of this is fun. I just take it one day at a time.

VH1 Black Ink’s Ceaser: “I’m No Abuser”

Screen Shot 2021 05 25 at 11.47.42 AM

Founder of VH1’s Black Ink Crew Ceaser Emanuel held a press conference on May 20, 2021 in New York, NY to address the lawsuit he recently filed to end defaming statements made on social media by his daughter’s mother Crystal Torres. Ceaser was joined by his attorney Walter Mosley of Los Angeles-based law firm Mosley and Associates, specializing in the representation of high-profile celebrities.

Ceaser Emanuel is a tattoo artist and star of VH1’s Black Ink Crew (BIC). Even as a significant American reality television personality and a businessman, he still works as a talented tattoo artist and the owner of his NY-based tattoo shop, “Harlem,” which is featured on the Black Ink Crew show. Ceaser has touched millions of people with his work, garnering over 2.4 million followers on Instagram.

The BIC lead only sued Crystal Torres for repeating and elaborating the claim that their 17-year-old daughter Cheyenne made in January that her father pulled her out of the shower and beat her. Ceaser has explained that the statement is a lie and that he merely disciplined his daughter by taking away some of the things he bought for her. Now he’s taking legal action, filing a lawsuit for defamation against Crystal for publicly asserting that he was a child abuser.

“I am concerned for my daughter Cheyenne; her mother has corrupted her. I would do anything in my power to have my daughter back in my life. She is the sole heir to my Black Ink empire. I am nothing without her, and I miss her by my side. I have been dealing with this family matter for a while. And every time I feel like I am getting somewhere, I am being shut down and pulled away from speaking with my daughter directly…Everything I’ve built has been for my daughter,” Ceaser explains.

Crystal went on a social media rant on Monday sharing the “lies” she claims Ceaser is spreading. According to his lawsuit, Ceaser says that’s just one example of her defaming him, which he says ruined his rep and cost him a lot of money. The suit states that many of Crystal’s IG posts and interviews are inflammatory and false. Ceaser explains that he provided Crystal a letter from the GA Fulton County Dept. of Family & Children Services clearing him of any abuse charges. Despite the evidence provided, she has continued to smear his name on various online platforms, which resulted in lost endorsement deals and having to put his massive VH1 reality show on pause due to an internal investigation. Additionally, it halted his volunteer work with the community and underserved kids as people falsely assumed he was guilty of abuse.

‘Black Ink Crew’ Recap: Ceaser & Ted Build Their Case Against Walt, Ban Him From All The Shops

Ceaser & Walter Black Ink Crew

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz83

Last week’s Black Ink Crew: New York premiere, we learned that Walt allegedly “broke into” the 125th shop and stole jewelry, merchandise, and $5K. Ceaser, Ted, and Puma break the news to the crew and make a tough decision about their brother.

The episode picks right up where last week’s ended with Walt explaining to Ted exactly what happened that night in the shop when the alleged break-in happened. The season 9 premiere ended with Walt admitting that he took the money out of the register, leaving us with a cliffhanger.

Walt tells Ted he took the money because he needed it to handle some personal situations, and when he was able to recoup it, he planned on paying the bread back before anyone noticed. As far as the break-in is concerned, Walt says it was an isolated incident that happened a week later after he took the money.

Unfortunately, Ceaser and Ted’s minds are already made up, and they think he definitely was behind the robbery. Ceaser has heard enough and tells Walt to take a hike. He feels he has been betrayed and isn’t trying to hear any excuses from Walt due to the evidence pointing to suggesting that Walt did.

The following day Ceaser links up with Ted, Puma, and Ceaser’s cousin Feezy to survey the crime scene. Ceaser breaks it all down, alleging Walter jimmied the lock to gain entry to the shop and hit a secret stash that only an employee would know about before hitting the register and taking the jewelry and merchandise. While Ted, Ceaser, and Feezy are all but certain it was Walt, Puma isn’t sure yet and asked why Walt would have to jimmy the lock if he has the key to the shop?

Now, it’s officially time to break the bad news to the crew. Ceaser shares all of the evidence against Walt with his other employees, and they are shocked, but some more revelations are revealed. Black Ink’s newest couple, Krystal and Rokmatic, reveal they saw Walter engaging in some really funny business with the money and even shorting tattoo jobs and pocketing the cash.

The allegations dumbfound Ceaser, and it only helps him make the decision easier to ban Walt from all of the tattoo shops from now on, labeling him persona non grata. Puma is still not there and feels he needs to have a conversation with Walt due to Walt’s history with alcoholism and feels he could be going through something that would force him to make such a rash decision.

Following the meeting, Puma links up with Walter where it all began, the old flagship shop on 113th. The two friends have a conversation about the whole theft matter, and Walter sheds more light on the situation. He revealed the only reason he took the money was that he was behind on his child support and was looking at jail time. Puma, who, for the most part, tried to be very understanding, didn’t think that was a great excuse to steal from the person who helped him.

Before the two walked away, Puma wished Walt the best of luck and tells him it would be best if he stayed away from the crew. Walt believes this is a situation that time will eventually heal, and all indications point to that happening based on Ceaser’s track record when it comes to “beefing” with his friends.

Other notable moments from Monday night’s episode include:

Puma decides to seek therapy because he feels overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic and shootings of unarmed Black men by the police. Good for you, Black man, get that help.

Young Bae, who is looking marvelous, tells Ted she is not coming back to Black Ink… yet and reveals she has had her own tattoo shop for 12 years.

Oh, and Rok and Krystal are “dating” and claim they love each other. Krystal doesn’t want to go public to express their feelings for each other when they are in the shop. We shall see how long that lasts.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, Tatti revealed that Donna bought Alex’s mom a new ass. What an interesting gift to give your future mother-in-law.

‘Black Ink Crew’: Walt Claims He Didn’t Break Into The Shop, Hints At Ceaser Lying For TV Ratings In Deleted Comment

Walt Says He Didn't Break Into The Shop Accuses Ceaser of Lying On Him

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz83

We’re only one episode in Black Ink Crew: New York’s ninth season, and the drama is already playing out.

Last week fans of the hit VH1 reality television franchise were shocked to learn that Walt did his brother and best friend Ceaser dirty by hitting the 125th tattoo shop for $5,000. The episode ended with Walt seemingly admitted to taking the cash with the intention of putting the money back but left us on a cliffhanger without revealing exactly why he went that route.

“The whole bullsh*t with the whole register sh*t man… I definitely had something to do with that,” he admitted. “I tried to like, fix it up later on when I got the break up from the back. Sh*t ain’t really easy for me. I’m not making any excuses, but I definitely did that dumb shi*t.”

In an exclusive interview with Distractify last week, Ceaser revealed that he was “heartbroken” that Walt stole money from him and that his friendship with his once good friend is over, calling him a “former real friend.” Now, Walt has broken in his silence and, in a series of deleted comments, claims he didn’t break into the shop and didn’t steal the $5,000 as it was detailed on the season premiere despite copping to the crime.

He’s also claiming none of the goodwill gestures we saw from Ceaser were real and that everything is just for TV ratings and that it “will all make sense soon enough.”

“I didn’t break into any shop. The shop didn’t lose 5K. I was NEVER homeless. NOBODY helped me on my feet when I was down and out.”

This sounds like a whole mess already, but consider us here at Hip-Hop Wired very invested in the drama as it plays out during the season.

#BlackInkCrew: The Crew Finds Out About Teddy’s New Boo, Heads To Hawaii To For Walt’s Wedding

Teddy Says He Is Not Married & Not Expecting A Child, Twitter Clowns Him

Source: Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty

Last week on Black Ink Crew: New York, Ceaser and his crew of misfits made a last-ditch effort to save his flagship tattoo shop. Walt got arrested and, in the process, convinced Jess to marry him. This week Walter and his bride-to-be head to Hawaii to jump the broom, and they invited everyone to be there when it happens.

This week’s episode opens up with the excited couple as they pack for their trip to Hawaii. We totally understand they are eager to get away from the drama in New York, and that includes what is going on at the shop.

Speaking of the shop, Cease and the crew are happy that rally was a “success,” but the landlord isn’t budging on his stance when it comes to Ceaser coughing up more money to keep the shop. Cease reveals he put in his application to make the shop a landmark, so now they are waiting to see if that idea pans out.

Donna changes the subject and asks about Walt and Jess, and right at that moment, two women dressed as hula girls walk in the shop and hand out invitations to Jess and Walt’s wedding.

The crew is excited to head to Hawaii, but Ceaser shuts that down, stating they can’t leave because if they go, they might not have a shop to come back to. Disappointed that they won’t be heading to paradise, Sassy does come up with the idea that half of the team should stay behind at the shop while the other half hops on a flight to Hawaii.

Speaking of Hawaii, the couple has landed and wasted no time getting acclimated to their temporary settings and hit the beach to soak in the island’s beautiful ambiance.

Back at the shop, Bae walks in, and she has some tea to spill on Teddy. She shows the crew The Shaderoom post, which is a picture of Teddy and a mystery woman kissing. The caption of the photo hints at them being married with a baby emoji.

Everyone in the shop is wondering if Teddy made it official with his Korean boo and if Walt has a kid on the way. Plus, they are shocked Teddy is in a relationship because no one knew about it.

Teddy eventually walks in the shop, and the crew immediately bombards him with questions about the Shaderoom post. He stays mum on the situation plus; he is also wearing a wedding band. During his confessional, Teddy reveals that he has been dating the woman for a while now. He also states that he has no desire to tell the crew about his new boo.

Back in Hawaii, Walt and Jess find out that Cease and crew can’t make it to the wedding. Walt is disappointed, so he and Jess decided to go zip lining to take his mind off his friends flaking on him and Jess.

After they are finished, Walt decides to call Richard, aka Oh Sh*t, to see if he can come to the wedding, but he doesn’t answer. Walt leaves him a voicemail asking to take a trip to Hawaii. Walt also reaches out to Kitty and asks her to come, and when she learns that Cease and everyone else is not going to be there, she agrees to attend.

Back in New York, Cease links up with his mother, and he details the situation about the shop. She reassures him that everything is going to work out because he is a leader and has a lot of supporters, but Ceaser isn’t so sure. He also tells his mom about Walt getting married and that he is not going because of his issue with the shop. Ceaser’s mom is disappointed to hear that and says he has no choice but to go because Walt has been there for him over the years.

In the next scene, we finally get to meet Teddy’s boo, Euni. He confirms they are not married and that she is not pregnant. He reveals that he wears the ring as a reminder to not mess this relationship up and that it was a birthday gift to himself.

Yeah right.

Teddy reveals that he met Euni at the Louis Vuitton store (we didn’t need to know that) and that he doesn’t think he’s loved someone as much he loves her. He also hopes to they can get married soon. Honestly, we have heard this entire spiel before, not once, but twice.

Ceaser returns to the shop, and he has some good news. He tells the crew that they will be going to Hawaii to attend Walt’s wedding, and he is going to rent a mansion for them to get married in. Cease calls up Jess to tell her the news to tell her he will pay for everything but instructs her not to tell Walt they are coming because he wants it to be a surprise. She agrees to keep things on the hush.

Cease and the crew immediately head to the airport. One person is missing, Puma. We learn that Quani took his spot because she feels he is always leaving her with the kids, so this time it’s his turn to babysit.

Tati is a bit too excited to be taking a trip and drinks entirely too much on the flight, and when they land, she is drunk. When they arrive at a restaurant to grab something to eat, Tati throws up and says she feels better after.

Gross.

Not too long after, we catch up with Walt and Jess, and they are also grabbing a bite to eat. The band makes an announcement that crew from 113th is there and Ceaser and everyone walks out. Ceaser tells Walt about the mansion, but he is conflicted. He’s happy to see his friends, but at the same time, he is also worried about what is going to happen when Richard and Kitty arrive.

Black Ink viewers had thoughts about the episode and, most importantly, about Teddy’s new “wifey.” You can peep them all in the gallery below.

#BlackInkCrew: Ceaser’s & Crew Try To Save The Shop, Walt Gets Arrested, Donna Puts Tati On Time Out

Ceaser & The Crew Hold A Rally To Save Black Ink 113th

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Last week on Black Ink Crew: Chicago, oops we mean New York, Ceaser announced he was opening a spite tattoo shop to get back at Ryan. He later learned his landlord was giving him and his crew the boot from the flagship 113th Black Ink location.

This week’s episode picks up with Ceaser not taking the eviction news very well. The tattoo shop mogul can’t believe this is happening to him, and if you ask us, it sounds like karma. Anyway, he decides to leave the shop because he needs some time to think and process everything that is going on.

Ceaser isn’t the only one going through it. Walter is still down in the dumps after Jess told him she doesn’t want to get married. We catch up with Walt while he’s doing a standup show, and he is stinking up the joint with his terrible jokes that are so bad that people are actually leaving. When his set is done, he sees Kitty in the corner waiting for him. Even though Kitty has beef with everyone else in the shop, she and Walter are still good friends.

Walt and Kitty head to back to catch up on what is going on in each other’s lives. Walt reveals to Kitty that he and Jess are no longer getting married due to Walt’s infidelity which caused some trust issues forcing Jess to reconsider jumping the broom. Kitty tells Walt not to worry and that he and Jess will eventually get over it. At the same time, Kitty is concerned because she noticed that Walk is drinking again.

We head back to the shop, and Ceaser brings everyone up to speed on the eviction situation. Ceaser’s lawyer told him there isn’t much they can do, and they will have to wait to see how things unfurl because the situation is more complicated than signing just a lease. The crew believes that the shop’s issues are all due to gentrification of the neighborhood.

The meeting is broken up when a bunch of police cars rolls up in front of the shop. When Donna looks out the window to see what is going on, she discovers that Walt is being arrested. Everyone rushes outside to see Walt being put in a squad car and being taken away.

Immediately we check in with Jess, who is trying to make sense of the situation involving her boyfriend. Jess tells Ceaser during a FaceTime call that the precinct is not giving her any information on Walt’s arrest. The only thing she does know is that Walt was arrested because he has an outstanding bench warrant and will have to stay overnight. This is shocking to both Jess and Cease, with her beginning to wonder what else has Walt not told her? Jess is also worried that Walt won’t handle being in jail for an extended period too well.

Cease says he has never known Walt to be in any trouble with the police, he does promise to get Walt a lawyer if he needs one.

The following day, we learn that Walt will go before a judge that afternoon to determine his fate. Meanwhile, at the shop, Ceaser gets even more bad news about the eviction situation. His lawyer Matt stops by with an unfortunate update from Ceaser’s landlord, Ceaser will now have to pay $11,000 a month in rent, that’s more than double what he used to pay.

Ceaser is pissed at the news and reveals that he doesn’t even pay that much rent for his shop on 125th street.

We head back to the developing situation with Walt, who is now in court. Jess heads there with her friend Dukes clearly worried about her boo. Not too long into their conversation, Walt walks out of the courthouse, and Jess is relieved to see her man.  Walt explains he was in front of the shop finishing off a joint when the cops pulled up on him. When they ran his name in the database they discovered he had a bench warrant from 2006 and decided to bring him in.

Walt apologizes to Jess for scaring her, and she replies by saying the whole situation made her realize that being without Walt is something she can’t tolerate. Jess makes Walt a happy man again when she tells him that they should get married.

We check back in with Ceaser, who is now seeking help to save the shop. The tattoo shop owner reaches out to Councilman Cornegy in hopes he can help him fix the situation. Cornegy reveals there isn’t much he can do for Ceaser, but he suggests that Ceaser tells the community because he is positive they have no idea what is going on in their neighborhood and will rally behind the shop. Ceaser says he will think about it.

Moving along, we catch up with the most annoying “lesbian fling” on television. Donna links up with Tati to discuss what happened when she revealed to Alex what they have been doing behind his back. Donna tells Tati that Alex was not too happy about them messing around. Tati says Donna should have told Alex sooner (like that would have made a difference) because she feels things are going to be weird now she sees Alex.

Donna tells Tatit out of respect for Alex they will have to put their sexual relationship on “time out,” but they can still remain friends.

Donna links up with Alex at the spa for a little alone time and to talk about her meeting with Tati. She tells “big daddy” (gross) that he doesn’t have to worry about Tati anymore because they are just friends. We shall see how long that lasts. Anyway, Alex is relieved because he doesn’t want to share his future wife sexually with anyone, be it a man or woman.

We check back in with operation save Black Ink 113th, and Ceaser gets some motivation to take action from an unlikely source. Korey Wise from the Central Park Five stops by the shop to get a tattoo done by Ceaser and during the session convinces the tattoo shop owner to get active because so much history has happened in the famed location. Ceaser decides he will ask for help from the community.

It’s rally day and the gang decide to make signs. Some of the signs they are creating are absolutely ridiculous, but this is Black Ink Crew, so we’re not surprised.

Ceaser learns that they are considering making 113th a landmark, and if that happens, there is nothing the landlord can do if that process goes through.

The crew embarked outside for the rally and is excited to see neighborhood residents came out to support them. We think they are there for the camera time but whatever. The realtor for landlord shows up to show the property to a potential buyer or renter and Ceaser and the crew forces them to leave and the episode ends.

Twitter had plenty of thoughts about Ceaser’s dilemma, Donna and Tati’s foolishness, and Jess changing her mind and deciding to marry Walt again. You can peep the reactions in the gallery below.

#BlackInkCrew: Ceaser Announces He Is Opening A Black Ink Chicago, Gets Evicted From His Flagship Shop

Ceaser Black Ink Crew: New York

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Last week, Ceaser and his crew were worried about team 9MAG, specifically Ryan and Kitty, who was totally unbothered. The episode ended with Bae going to bat for her Black Ink family and swinging on Kitty during a meeting.

This week’s episode opens up back at the Philly tattoo convention. Bae is giving Donna and Tati the lowdown on her meeting with Kitty. She believes all Kitty has to do is apologize for her role in everything, but Kitty already made it clear she is not going to do that.

Speaking of Kitty, she is telling her side of the story to Ryan and Don. She expresses that she has no intention of apologizing to her former Black Ink Crew family. Kitty doesn’t understand why there is so much animosity towards her in the first place and believes the ladies of Black Ink just have it out for her. Everyone seems to think that tempers will flare later at a wrapup party for the tattoo Convention later that night.

While all of that is going on, one of Ryan’s former employees decides to show up. Van stops by Ceaser’s booth to chop it up with him.

Ceaser details all of the “drama” going on between him and Ryan because of Kitty and Van claims that Ryan isn’t loyal to the people who were there for him in the beginning. Van also believes its messed up how Ryan is dealing with the Kitty situation. Van tells Ceaser he should have a man-to-man conversation with Ryan to speak on their issues.

It’s now time to party, and Ceaser uses the moment to deliver what he thinks is a gut punch to Ryan. Following a “performance” from Beanie Sigel, Ceaser announces that he is expanding to the midwest and opening a spite tattoo shop in Chicago to give Ryan some competition.

Ryan and the crew seemed to be annoyed with the move, and he believes Ceaser is making a decision based on his emotions. Ryan approaches Ceaser and asks to have a conversation outside of the strip club.

While everyone plays it off like things are getting heated between Ryan and Ceaser, the conversation between the two tattoo shop owners is relatively calm. Ryan believes that Ceaser opening a shop in Chicago before talking to him is disrespectful. Ceaser disagrees and says its just business. Ryan says that he never messed with Kitty, but Ceaser believes he is lying and tells him he will see him in Chicago.

We finally get back to New York, and Ceaser is standing firm on his decision to open a shop in Chicago despite Puma cautioning him to take things slow.  Ceaser disagrees and says business is all about growth, and now is an excellent time to open a shop in Chicago. He believes the whole Kitty situation has shown him how Ryan really moves.

Walt walks in the shop, and he is clearly sad still due to the fact Jess told him she isn’t ready to get married.

Moving on, Donna and Alex are on an ice cream date at The Sugar Factory. He reveals to her that his baby fever has calmed down, and he doesn’t want a baby right now but instructs her to keep it high on the list. Donna finally brings up Tati. She explains to her boyfriend that she has been messing around with her for over a month behind his back. Alex isn’t too happy to hear that and storms out of the restaurant, leaving Donna sitting there looking dumb.

The next day at the shop, the Black Ink Crew team get some terrible news. When Puma arrives to open up the tattoo shop, he is greeted by a letter from the landlord instructing Ceaser and his team to vacate the building in 30 days. They have been in that location for 10-years, so this is definitely a gut punch.

When Ceaser finally arrives, he is visibly upset because he has been trying to tell the landlord to give him a new lease for days, but he kept getting the runaround. Ceaser also believes the whole Kitty and Ryan situation took his attention and allowed this situation to happen. Ceaser is also pissed because he just paid the rent, and the landlord didn’t give him any indication he was going to evict them. Upset, Ceaser flips the table and feels he should have bought the whole building when he had a chance too.

Puma does his best to calm Ceaser down and tells him they still have 30 days to figure things out, and the episode ends. How are you talking about expanding when you can’t even keep your flagship location open? Ryan must be somewhere laughing.

Twitter had plenty of comments, specifically for Ceaser mainly, you can peep all of the reactions in the gallery below.

#BlackInkCrew: Ceaser & His Crew Are Pressed About Ryan & Kitty, Team 9MAG Is Unbothered

Black Ink Crew Season 8 trailer

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Last week on Black Ink Crew, we had to endure Bae’s screaming while she tried to “get answers” from her estranged dad. This week we finally get to the action we have been waiting for Team Black Ink vs. Team 9MAG.

The episode opens back up with that very stressful moment between Bae and her father. More than likely, he had enough with her screaming, which she claims was just her trying to get some answers out of him, so he leaves and runs away. The production crew chases after him and catches him and puts him a cab. Bae leaves disappointed because she believes her dad just came to see her angry again.

Back at the shop, Ceaser wants his team to be on their Ps and Qs at the Philadelphia tattoo convention because Ryan and 9MAG are going to be in the building, and he wants to put them to shame. Donna adds even more fuel to the fire by pointing out Sky and her then-boyfriend were hanging out with Ryan, and the 9MAG tattoo shop owner shared the video on Instagram. Ceaser believes that Ryan sharing the video was just him being petty.

Yeah right.

At Donna and Alex’s crib, she hatches a plan that she thinks will scare his baby fever out of him. While Alex is sleeping, Donna runs to the bathroom to throw on a fake belly and grabs a doll and lathers it up with KY Jelly. She fakes a scenario of herself going into labor and throws the baby doll at him. The idea, of course, didn’t work because Alex is used to it dealing with his first son. He still wants to shoot up Donna’s club, but she isn’t on board with that idea yet.

The following day Donna links up with her secret girlfriend, Tati. They are riding together on their way to the tattoo convention in Philadelphia. During the drive, Donna fixes her lips to bring up Kitty and claims that the former Black Ink brand ambassador was on social media blasting her.

The topic then shifts to Alex and him wanting a child. Tati is fed up because instead of her messing around Donna, she has to talk about babies. She also presses Donna to finally tell Alex about the both of them, and Donna says she will do it.

This whole situation is just a mess.

Their conversation is interrupted when Bae FaceTime’s them. She breaks down the entire situation that went down with her father.

We check back in with Walt, and he is currently at fiancée’s house. The two have another conversation following their therapy session. Jess still has some reservations and feels the couple didn’t properly discuss Walt cheating. Because of her feelings, she tells Walt that she is not ready to get married, and she wants to wait. Walt, of course, is very disappointed with the news.

When we finally get to the convention, we see things are already contentious between the two shops. Once friends, now rivals, Ceaser’s booth will not be located next to Ryan’s like the way it used to be. Things get even more interesting when Ceaser sees that Kitty is there. Kitty is there working on behalf of 2nd City Ink, but Ryan did ask her to come. Also, Ryan and Kitty could care less about Ceaser and his crew. Kitty is also ready for any drama that may come her way.

Back in NYC, Bae links up with her dad again. This time she insists on no cameras for this meeting. The meeting goes a lot better than the first one with Bae’s dad saying he was full of rage when he was abusive. Bae’s dad also reveals as a man, he was upset because he couldn’t provide for his family like he wanted to. Bae basically says that is no excuse, and he could have still made them feel loved. The meeting ends with Bae not getting the closure she was looking for sadly.

Welp.

Back at the convention, Donna and Tati decide to finally confront Kitty. Kitty says she wasn’t feeling Donna threatening to beat her up. Donna continues to talk smack. The conversation is broken up by Ryan, who is not here for Donna and Tati making a scene in front of his booth, so he tells them to take the drama outside.

That’s not the only drama that takes place, though. YBN Almighty Jay shows up. Ceaser decides to tell the young rapper about his “beef” with Ryan pretty much, showing how he pressed he is about the situation. During the conversation, Donna makes some suggestions about what tattoo he should get. Jay flirts with Donna, and suggests maybe he should get her name on him, Donna shrugs it off as harmless, but Alex didn’t like what he saw at all.

After Jay gets his tattoo, Alex confronts the young rapper and they exchange words but things never physical between the two men with Jay claiming he was just showing out for the cameras.

Finally, Bae and Kitty link up at a coffee shop to have a much-needed conversation. When it comes to Tati and Donna, Kitty wants nothing to do with either of them but was still willing to talk to Bae. Kitty points out Donna’s behavior on social media and how she is continuously harassing her on there. Bae is bothered and claims that Kitty talks about everyone behind their backs, Kitty disagrees and says she has no problem telling people about themselves to their face.

No lies detected.

Bae isn’t feeling Kitty’s energy and decides to leave, but before she exits the building, she calls Kitty a “punk a** b*tch.” Kitty responds, and Bae swings at her with her jacket, and security immediately gets in between the former friends. As they are separated, they trade more insults with each other, and the episode ends.

Fans had plenty of thoughts, mainly clowning Ceaser and his crew for worrying about Ryan and Kitty. You can peep them all in the gallery below.

#BlackInkCrew: Young Bae’s Meeting With Her Dad Was A Screaming Mess, Walt Goes To Therapy

Young Bae "Black Ink Crew" Season 8 Premiere Viewing Party

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty

Last week on Black Ink Crew, Walt was officially fed up with the crew after Tati ruined his engagement party. This week’s episode picks up after the aftermath of those events.

The crew is in the shop discussing what happened with Walt and not taking any responsibility for finally pushing the man off the deep end. Puma had to remind them each of the times they messed up Walt’s big moments, especially Tati, whose behavior was the final straw.  Donna just hopes that Walt doesn’t fall off the wagon and start abusing alcohol again.

Puma believes there is more to Walt’s anger, and he hopes Walt talks to someone instead of holding all of that anger in.

Speaking of Walt, he arrives at Jess’s house. They have a discussion about the party with Walt explaining he felt like he had no choice but to leave because the gang was being disrespectful.  Jess tells Walt she doesn’t want him planning their wedding without her and suggests that they should consider going to premarital counseling. Walt is not feeling that idea because he usually handled his issues on his own because that’s how he was raised.  He does tell Jess he will think about it.

Walt does eventually go to counseling with Jess, and the couple opens up. Jess reveals that because of Walt cheating on her,  they broke up for a few months. Because of that, it’s hard for her to trust him again, and on a scale of 1-10, she’s at 7 when it comes to trusting him. The therapist reveals that means that some work has to be done before they get married. Walt says he is committed to doing the work to get Jess at a 10.

Back at the shop, Bae tells Donna that her father has found her and reached out to her and engaged in small talk with her. We learned in a previous season that Bae’s dad was extremely abusive towards her mom, sister, and herself, and they ran away from him. Somehow he was able to track her down using a Korean app that locates people, and he informs her that he is possibly coming to New York City, and he wants to see her.

Bae has a lot of questions she wants to ask her dad like why was he always so angry towards his family? They never did anything wrong to him. Bae is still unsure if she wants to see him.

We catch up with Puma, and he heads home in hopes to get some buns. Unfortunately, Quani is not in the mood due to the fact she has been watching their son. Puma just wants to put some fun back in their lives and jokingly blames the kids for messing things up in the bedroom. Quani agrees to go on a planned date night with Puma, but she has to do the planning.

Unfortunately for Puma, he had no idea what Quani had in store for them on date night. His wife booked them a session at an S&M Dungeon, and Puma is taking on the role of the submissive and gets tied up and subjected to some electrocution and spanking. Puma wasn’t really feeling the date at all.

Donna and Alex are also having a date night but at the Sex Museum. After enjoying all of the attractions, Alex and Donna sit down for a conversation. She tries to tell him about Tati, but Alex could care less because Alex really wants to ask Donna an important question. Donna thinks Alex is about to propose to her finally; instead, he asks if they could have a baby, and Donna is not feeling that idea at all.

Alex is disappointed with Donna because she wants to get married first before she has kids and tells him she is content with her dog and his son from another woman. Donna calls him selfish for wanting to have a child before a wedding, and the conversation ends.

Upset, Donna goes over to secret lesbian lover, Tati’s house, and she explains what happened between her and Alex. Donna reveals to Tati that her ectopic pregnancy was a scary moment for her. Donna is not even sure if she can have children, and she could die if she gets pregnant. Donna is dead serious about getting married before having kids.

Finally, after some convincing from Teddy of all people, Bae decides to meet up with her dad. When the two sit down to talk, Bae immediately starts questioning him about his past abusive behavior, but he has nothing to say. This infuriates Bae, who begins screaming at her dad, and she eventually flips the table. Security has to step in between them, and the episode ends.
