Houston PD and FBI Ask for Fans to Submit Images from Astroworld

As the investigation into Astroworld continues, the Houston Police Department is looking for the help of attendees. On Twitter, the Houston PD asked for fans to upload their pictures and videos to an FBI website.

“Houston Police Detectives have already viewed countless hours of video evidence as part of our ongoing investigation into the Astroworld event,” said the Houston Police Department in a statement. “To ensure that we have captured all possible evidence for a complete investigation, we have partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for additional technical assistance.”

The FBI isn’t the only one investigating Astroworld. Congress will launch an investigation into the concert that claimed the lives of 10 people.

The involvement of Live Nation in the planning and safety of the November event will be the subject of a House Oversight Committee hearing. The committee has asked the entertainment company for information by early January, with a briefing to follow.

CNN reported, in a letter to Live Nation, the congress committee said, “Recent reports raise serious concerns about whether your company took adequate steps to ensure the safety of the 50,000 concertgoers who attended Astroworld Festival. The panel noted reports of inadequate security and medical staff at the venue, the placement of barricades, and a failure to heed warning signs.”

Congress will launch an investigation into the Astroworld concert that claimed the lives of 10 people.

The House Oversight Committee hearing will focus on Live Nation’s role in the planning and safety of the November event. The committee is requesting information from the entertainment company by early January, with a briefing to follow.

CNN reported, in a letter to Live Nation, the congress committee said,

“Recent reports raise serious concerns about whether your company took adequate steps to ensure the safety of the 50,000 concertgoers who attended Astroworld Festival. Travis Scott breaks his silence on all the events that occurred that fatal night in an exclusive interview with Power 105’s Charlamagne Tha God.

According to reports, what happened during Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival follows a long line of other tragic events involving Live Nation. The entertainment company has faced lawsuits over safety issues in the past.

Records on the OSHA website show that Live Nation has been fined or sued on a variety of issues over the past decade. Including an incident in 2018 when someone was struck in the head by a 6-foot metal post and hospitalized.

In an incident in 2012, an employee died after falling through a “false ceiling” on a stage. The person wasn’t wearing any safety belts or other protection.

Due to the horrific injuries and fatal casualties at Astroworld, Travis Scott, Drake, and Live Nation are currently named in multiple lawsuits upwards of two billion dollars.

Hulu Pulls ‘Astroworld: Concert From Hell’ Documentary Amid Backlash

astroworld concert from hell

Hulu has pulled an ABC documentary about Astroworld after facing social media backlash. ‘Astroworld: Concert From Hell‘ premiered on the streaming platform yesterday, but was quickly pulled following negative reactions from viewers.

One tweet that went viral said the making of the documentary was in ‘poor taste’ and there hasn’t been enough time to ‘fully discuss’ the tragedy.

“The legal cases haven’t even started. Great documentaries are done when all the facts are laid out. Not enough time has passed to fully discuss this.”

See the some of the Tweets below.

Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival turned into horrific events when the crowd of 50,000 people surged, resulting in a panic that left 10 people dead and hundreds injured.

Scott is facing more than 120 wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability lawsuits stemming from the tragedy.

One Twitter user expressed triggering emotions after watching the documentary.

“I watched the Astroworld documentary that Hulu put out and… I literally cried throughout the whole thing it genuinely breaks my heart.”

The 50-minute special was actually produced by ABC’s Houston affiliate KTRK.

Hulu released a statement letting viewers know that the platform hosted the ‘Astroworld: Concert From Hell’ documentary but did not produce it.

“This was an investigative local news special from ABC13/KTRK-TV in Houston that originally aired on November 20th. This was not a Hulu documentary and has since been removed to avoid confusion.”

The documentary is still available to watch on KTRK’s website.

Facing over 250 lawsuits with over $3 billion in damages for the Astroworld Festival tragedy, rapper Travis Scott has hired a team of lawyers to fight the suits, including one who previously represented former President Donald Trump, according to a report from Billboard.

Scott hired Daniel Petrocelli to represent him in the lawsuits in which he is allegedly held liable for the ten deaths and hundreds of injuries at the deadly festival. Petrocelli won $8.5 million for Ron Goldman’s family in the wrongful death suit against O.J. Simpson in 1997. He also represented other controversial clients including Donald Trump during his presidential run in 2016 for fraud. Petrocelli represented a now-jailed Harvey Weinstein in a 2004 sexual assault lawsuit.

Petrocelli is the head of litigation at the L.A.-based law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP. His partners, Steve Brody, and Sabrina Strong, also represent Travis Scott in the Astroworld suits.
