Mr. Carter, Desiree Perez and Juan Perez co-founded the 40/40 Club in NEw York City in 2003 as a luxury sports bar and lounge that created a hybrid of a New York City penthouse and courtside seats of a virbant sporting event.

The 40/40 Club recently reopened in early-August and the esteemed venue is in the process of filling 100 positions after hosting an open call for a combination of bartenders and food and beverage servers in late-July.

The 40/40 Club is named after one of baseball’s most prestigious achievements which recognizes players who hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in one season. Of all the Major League Baseball players in history, only Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998), Jose Canseco (1988), and Alfonso Soriano (2006) have accomplished the feat and the four jerseys of these athletes grace an area of the venue’s “Hall of Fame.”

The wolves don’t have morals. Would-be thieves apparently attempted to break into Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan over the weekend.

The front door to Hova’s establishment was vandalized. From pictures it looks like someone attempted to pry the locked doors open, leaving damage consisting of scratches and punctures near the lock.

According to TMZ, the incident went down this weekend and NYPD took a criminal mischief report from the club staff who called the authorities.

NYPD assigned a detective to investigate but the staff is sure it was an intended break-in. There is reportedly surveillance footage of two men hanging out suspiciously in front of the club. However, the alarm did not go off when the approached the door. Furthermore, the men were reportedly seen hanging out near 40/40 all week.

Bruh, it’s too hot to be casing Jigga’s spot for the jux—and now his staff is on alert. Where is the respect for that man’s accomplishments?

Streets is done.

JAY-Z’s 40/40 Club Sued Over Nasty Security Brawl

JAY-Z Casanova 2x

Music mogul JAY-Z‘s 40/40 Club is catching some heat. New reports claim the rap star’s New York venue is getting sued over a recent brawl.

According to reports, a man has targeted 40/40 for not providing ample security when a fight broke out.

Jose Irizarry just filed suit against Hov’s New York-based sports bar and lounge, alleging the venue’s lack of adequate security combined with insufficient crowd control led to him getting seriously f***ed up during a melee. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Irizarry claims he was minding his business at 40/40 when all of a sudden a huge fight broke out between some attendants and security … and he became collateral damage. Irizarry says he was struck in the head and body during the brawl, and endured pain and suffering, lost wages and medical expenses that he wants the club to cover. (TMZ)

In March, buzz developed about boxer Jermall Charlo having nearly $150,000 taken from him at the 40/40 Club.

The assistant handed one of the women the bag — containing $40,000 in cash and $115,000 worth of bling — to hold during the unsanctioned sparring match, sources said. But when the tiff ended and the Texan light middleweight returned to his seat — he learned the woman had absconded with his pricey pack along with her four pals, according to cops. Police are now on the hunt for the bag thief and her entourage, who were all caught on security camera leaving the club. (New York Post)

Prior to the crime, Charlo shared a pic from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center arena.

The NYPD’s Bomb Squad was dispatched to the Flatiron District Tuesday morning after a bizarre object that looked like an explosive was found in a phone booth outside a restaurant owned by rapper Jay Z, officials said. The device, described by police sources as “a flashing light with wires attached to two pieces of wood” was found in a booth outside the 40/40 Club on W. 25th St. and Broadway just after 7 a.m. (NY Daily News)
