Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight‘s son is speaking out. Suge Knight Jr. has come forward to address the rap mogul’s situation behind bars after pleading no contest to a manslaughter case.

In a new video, Knight Jr. let loose some frustrations and admitted he’s concerned about his dad’s overall health.

“I just don’t want to give up right now. With all those health issues, I’m very worried about my father because he’s a strong dude but he’s human. The more he’s in there, it’s stress that’s causing his health to be f*cked up, or messed up, excuse my language. It’s set up for him not to make it out. And that’s just the sad part.” (TMZ)

Yesterday, Knight appeared in court to cop a plea in his publicized case.

Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight pleaded no contest Thursday to manslaughter in connection with the death of a man during a hit-and-run incident after a confrontation on the set of the movie biopic “Straight Outta Compton.” Knight, 53, is scheduled to be sentenced October 4 and in exchange for his plea, prosecutors are calling for a sentence of 28 years in prison. On Wednesday, Suge’s legal muscle reportedly reached out about making a deal.

Knight’s attorney, Al DeBlanc, first contacted the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office about a possible plea deal Wednesday, according to Lillian Carter, the victim’s wife. Negotiations stretched into early Thursday afternoon, with Knight at one point fighting against the idea of having to take the plea in the presence of media lining the courtroom, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. The source requested anonymity to discuss the case candidly. (Los Angeles Times)

Last spring, Knight’s son Suge J. Knight updated fans on his condition following a medical complication.
