Suge Knight’s Son Reacts To 28-Year Sentence: “They Just Robbed My Father Out Of Life”

Suge J Knight

Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight‘s son is more than a little upset. The hip-hop mogul’s mini-me has come forward to react to his dad receiving a 28-year prison sentence.

Suge J. Knight went to Instagram this week to let loose some emotions over his dad’s prison punishment.

Yesterday, Suge Knight appeared in court and received his headline-generating sentence.

Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight was formally sentenced on Thursday to 28 years in prison for a 2015 hit and run that left one man dead and another man injured. The 53-year-old former producer and co-founder of gangsta rap label Death Row Records last month pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for businessman Terry Carter’s death in Compton, California. Victim Terry Carter‘s family reportedly appeared in court during the sentencing.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen handed down the sentence as expected Thursday for running over and killing businessman Terry Carter outside a Compton burger stand in 2015. Members of Carter’s family addressed the court including daughter Crystal, who called Knight “a disgusting, selfish disgrace to the human species.” Knight avoided a murder trial that was about to begin when he agreed two weeks ago to plead no contest to voluntary manslaughter and accept the sentence. Carter’s family members also came forward to speak on the aftermath.

“He never got out of the car, to see if my uncle was okay. This has to be in my family forever. Nothing will be the same. Not even an apology, condolences have been made to my family,” Carter’s niece tearfully stated. Knight, wearing an orange jumpsuit and glasses, looked on, expressionless. Family members voiced their anger at Knight and said they are haunted by the video of the incident. (CNN)

Last month, reports emerged about Pac possibly faking his 1996 death and moving overseas.

And now Michael Nice has prompted more talk of a conspiracy by claiming Tupac is alive and living in Cuba. The British conspiracy theorist claims he was part of a security team that helped the rapper escape Las Vegas and smuggled him to the Caribbean. He now believes he is still hiding on the island. A few weeks ago, Suge J. Knight weighed-in in his dad recently accepting a plea deal set to possibly give him nearly 30 years in prison for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run.

“I just don’t want to give up right now. With all those health issues, I’m very worried about my father because he’s a strong dude but he’s human. The more he’s in there, it’s stress that’s causing his health to be f*cked up, or messed up, excuse my language. It’s set up for him not to make it out. And that’s just the sad part.” (TMZ)

In a new video, Knight Jr. let loose some frustrations and admitted he’s concerned about his dad’s overall health.

Yesterday, Knight appeared in court to cop a plea in his publicized case.

Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight pleaded no contest Thursday to manslaughter in connection with the death of a man during a hit-and-run incident after a confrontation on the set of the movie biopic “Straight Outta Compton.” Knight, 53, is scheduled to be sentenced October 4 and in exchange for his plea, prosecutors are calling for a sentence of 28 years in prison. (CNN)

On Wednesday, Suge’s legal muscle reportedly reached out about making a deal.

Knight’s attorney, Al DeBlanc, first contacted the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office about a possible plea deal Wednesday, according to Lillian Carter, the victim’s wife. Negotiations stretched into early Thursday afternoon, with Knight at one point fighting against the idea of having to take the plea in the presence of media lining the courtroom, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. The source requested anonymity to discuss the case candidly. (Los Angeles Times)

Last spring, Knight’s son Suge J. Knight updated fans on his condition following a medical complication.
