Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Nelly from 2017 Incident Dropped

The end of September brings good news for Nelly as his sexual assault lawsuit has been dropped. Variety reports Scott Rosenblum, the lawyer for the Country Grammer emcee, confirmed to the agreement to drop the suit, with no settlement or exchange of money set.

Nine months ago Washington State prosecutors would not file second-degree rape charges against Nelly after the accuser would not testify in court against Nelly. The case will be permanently closed. the woman originally stated Nelly raped her on his tour bus back in 2017.

The attorney for the accuser, Kathy Koehler stated the refusal to support the courts by testifying was due to public scrutiny and attention due to Nelly’s stature that she “cannot handle.”
