R. Kelly’s Manager is Reportedly Accused of Threatening Parents Involved With ‘Surviving R. Kelly’

R. Kelly’s manager, Don Russell, is reportedly being investigated by authorities in the wake of being accused of threatening Joycelyn Savage’s parents, who participated in the Lifetime series, Surviving R. Kelly.

Joycelyn’s father, Timothy Savage, called the cops to the Pied Piper’s Georgia home just before 6 a.m. on Jan. 3 after supposedly getting threats from a man alleging to be Russell, as per a police report acquired by The Blast. Before Surviving R. Kelly, Joycelyn’s name came up in cases that she was brainwashed and held in a sex cult ran by R. Kelly, which she has denied.

Timothy told authorities they were engaged with the docu-series and that Russell sent messages on the day it debuted, expressing that “it would be best for him and his family if the documentary does not air.” The cop who took the report likewise says that a call was made while they were present and the person on the phone said the parents gave Lifetime false information and if the documentary aired they’ll be forced to discredit their testimony. The caller also said that Timothy would ruin “reputation, business, and family” because he’s a liar.

The report was named as a reaction to “a harassing communications call” and was sent to the Criminal Investigations Division.
