Public Enemy to be Inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame

Public Enemy is being recognized by The Recording Academy and will be entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The honor comes in celebration of their 1988 album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.

Billboard reports at its release the album did not receive a Grammy nomination but will now be entered into the hall for its importance and legendary reputation.

In addition to Public Enemy Elton John, Peter Frampton, Nancy Sinatra and more will be entered. 25 recordings will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, the roster includes recordings from the original Awards, the pre-date of the ceremony and those that were not highlighted during their Grammy cycle.
