Nipsey Hussle Alleged Killer Indicted by Grand Jury

A grand jury has indicted the man suspected of killing Nipsey Hussle.

On Tuesday (May 21), Eric Holder, 29, was indicted on four charges including one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said (via the Los Angeles Times).

Holder is accused of killing Hussle and injuring two other people outside the rapper’s Marathon Clothing store on Slauson Avenue on March 31. According to police, Holder got into a verbal altercation with Hussle. Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a “personal matter between the two of them.”

One hour before Nipsey’s murder, Holder allegedly pistol-whipped a man, according to TMZ. Two women claim Holder attacked their male friend, accusing him of selling him “laced marijuana.”

Holder faces between 25 years to life in prison. His attorney Christopher Darden, a former city prosecutor from the O.J. Simpson murder trial, has withdrawn from the case following death threats to him and his family.

Earlier today, Big Sean addressed Holder in an Instagram video. “To the person who murdered Nipsey, to people like that who take somebody’s life out of impulse or for revenge or whatever the case may be, you’re making a permanent solution to a temporary problem,” said the Detroit rapper. “Obviously, that’s not how you solve them problems.”
