Young Money’s Nicki Minaj is downplaying her thirst for Killmonger. The hip-hop diva has explained why she randomly name-dropped actor Michael B. Jordan during her E! People’s Choice Awards speech.
In a post-stage interview, Nicki admitted watching Black Panther hours prior ultimately popped Jordan into her mind.
“Oh my god, I don’t know. No [we’re not good friends]. I think he came up and talked to me at the Met Gala – but you know what? I was watching Black Panther last night so he just happened to be fresh on my mind.” (E! Red Carpet & Award Shows)
During the Sunday awards show, Nicki dropped jaws after singling out Jordan to take off her outfit later that night.
“Shout-out to Donatella Versace for custom-making this outfit for me and shout-out to Michael B. Jordan because he’s going to be taking it off of me tonight.” (E! Red Carpet & Awards Shows)
Rap newcomer Tee Grizzley recently tried to kick some game at Nicki.
