With one week until his album Dying to Live drops, Kodak Black shares his “Testimony” on his latest track. After dropping the introspective “Calling My Spirit,” the 20-year-old rapper does more soul searching.
Project Baby trades the lean for holy water and raps about his family and faith. “I’m a living testimony, every album like a testament / Everything I went through made me who I am / ‘Cause he be testing me,” he raps.
He also makes some candid confessions about his lifestyle. “I’m dying so I can live,” admits Kodak. “I’ve been running these streets, got me dehydrated / I’ve been living so crazy / Feel like I’m dying, baby.”
Earlier this week, he released the companion video for “Calling My Spirit.” Dying to Live drops Dec. 14 and is also set to feature the Travis Scott and Offset-assisted “ZEZE” and the Ben Billions-produced “Take One.”
