Damon Dash Says JAY-Z ‘Ain’t Sh*t’ for Taking NFL Deal

Damon Dash is putting JAY-Z on blast.

The hip-hop mogul, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Hov, is weighing in on the Roc Nation boss’ new NFL partnership, claiming the deal has exposed him as a backstabber.

“I mean everybody knows JAY ain’t shit like that. Everybody knows that,” he told Adam22 on the “No Jumper” podcast (via TMZ).

According to Dame, JAY is only out for himself. “If you ask anyone in the industry, it’s common knowledge that JAY ain’t shit,” he said. “He’s about the bag. We all know that. He’s self-preserving, period. It’s just that the people he does it to don’t have Beyoncé next to him, they don’t have that kind of power.”

He cited other instances when JAY would deceive him. “It’s not even a secret. He do that shit to me with girls,” said Dame. “I’ll be talking to a chick and I’ll be like, ‘Yo, she asked me to do this that and the third.’ And he’ll be like, ‘I wouldn’t do it.’ And then the next day he’s wifed her.”

The comments shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering Dame and JAY’s rocky past. He feels JAY betrayed him when he cut him out of the Roc-A-Fella deal and caused the label’s demise.

JAY-Z has been criticized for taking the NFL deal despite Colin Kaepernick still not having a job in the NFL. But despite the backlash, Dame thinks JAY is untouchable and even compared him to Trump.

“There’s always been a pattern with that dude. Everyone always forgives him,” he added. “He’s like Trump in that way. He could do anything, say anything, and everyone goes with the populist sometimes.”

Funkmaster Flex previously claimed that Jermaine Dupri was offered a similar deal to JAY-Z with the NFL, but JAY told him to turn it down. However, the So So Def mogul shot down Flex’s claim during an interview with Atlanta’s V-103. “It was never nothing like that,” he said. “He never told me don’t do what I was doing.”
