According to a report from CBS News in New York, actor Micah Beals, who is best known for his role in CSI: NY, was arrested yesterday for vandalizing the George Floyd memorial statue in New York earlier this month.

The 37-year-old actor, whose real name is Micah Fernia, allegedly threw paint on the statue of Floyd on October 3, just four days after the statue was unveiled. The NYPD released surveillance footage of the vandal on October 4, showing a skateboarder going into his knapsack and pulling out a can of paint, which he threw at the new sculpture.

Before being apprehended by the NYPD, Beal was arrested for a curfew violation during the January 6 Capitol Hill Riots. Beals is now being charged with second-degree criminal mischief, which carries a potential sentence of up to seven years in prison.
