Chris Brown Signs New Deal to Become One of the Youngest Artists Ever to Own His Masters

R&B singer Chris Brown is beginning the New Year off with a new deal. In his new partnership with RCA, Chris Brown will become on the youngest artists of all-time to own his masters. The singer’s upcoming album Indigo will mark his first release under a new license agreement with his longtime label RCA Records.

In a statement from the RCA, “This new deal structure between Brown and RCA Records, will undoubtedly enhance the release of new Chris Brown music, content, and much more throughout 2019 and beyond.”

Chris Brown released his first album Fortune under the RCA umbrella, to follow, Brown would release four more albums for RCA, including X in 2014, 2015’s Royalty and the collaborative Fan of a Fan: The Album with Tyga, and his latest release  2017’s Heartbreak on a Full Moon.

Since his debut, Chris Brown has remained one of the most popular artists in the music industry. Throughout his 14-year career, Brown has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and surpassed 10 billion audio streams across digital platforms. He has more Billboard Hot 100 entries than any contemporary male singer alive to date, with 160 consecutive weeks charting on the Hot 100.
