Chet Hanks Says His Parents Are ‘Fine’ Amid Coronavirus Diagnosis

Tom Hanks took to social media yesterday to announce that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, was diagnosed with the Coronavirus while filming the Elvis Presley project in Australia.

The news definitely sent shockwaves through the community because the A-list actor was the last person anyone would’ve thought got affected by the virus. “It’s true my parents got coronavirus. Crazy,” the couple’s son said in a shirtless, thirst-trapping video he uploaded to Instagram.

“They’re both down in Australia right now because my dad was shooting a movie down there, but I just got off the phone with them. They both are fine. They’re not even that sick. They’re not worried about it.” The 29-year-old added, “They’re not tripping, but they’re going through the necessary health precautions, obviously. But I don’t think it’s anything to be too worried about.”

Before the video concluded, he thanked fans for their support and reassured them that he thought “it’s all gonna be alright.”

The Oscar-winning actor revealed that he and his wife decided to get screened after suffering “colds and some body aches.” “Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

The Hollywood couple is currently being quarantined in Australia as they continue to be treated and recover from COVID-19.

We’re wishing them a speedy recovery, and thank Chet Hanks for the update.
