Iconic Dancer Arthur Mitchell Passes Away at Age 84

New York City ballet icon Arthur Mitchell has passed away at age 84 in Manhattan. The New York Times reports the Founding Director of the Dance Theatre of Harlem passed away due to complications of heart failure.

Arthur Mitchell served as the director of The Dance Theatre of Harlem after becoming one of the most popular dancers in the New York City Ballet in the 1950’s and 60s.

Mitchell danced under legendary choreographer George Balanchine, resulting in placement in leading roles in storied ballets, which at the time placed him with known white female counterparts. The most notable of the placements was in the 1957 production Agon.

The idea for The Dance Theatre of Harlem was sparked by the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. Mitchell aimed to ensure that dancers of all backgrounds would find a placement in the dancing world. Arthur Mitchell stepped down nearly a decade ago. However, in the last month Anna Glass, current executive director at the Dance Theater, states Mitchell spent time in the last month assisting in restaging a classic ballet of his to be performed at the 50th anniversary of the company.

100 Pounds Of Marijuana Wash Up On Florida Shores Following Hurricane Florence

Giant bundles of marijuana, apparently containing individually wrapped five-kilo bricks, have been washing up on the shores of Flagler Beach, Florida since the approach of Hurricane Florence last week, possibly from a boat that was either capsized by the storm or an airplane drop gone wrong.

The Flagler Beach Police Department said that about 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, citizens reported finding a large package that had washed ashore in the area of 6th North Street and North Oceanshore Boulevard. When officers opened the package, they found it contained six smaller 12-inch by 12-inch packages stuffed with marijuana.

Hours later, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said a beachgoer in the area of North Ocean Shore Boulevard found four circular bundles and 13 brick-style packages of narcotics and called authorities.

It’s unclear if the two incidents were related, but the U.S. Coast Guard was contacted to investigate both cases. Officials from the Coast Guard told deputies that similar packages have washed ashore from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach and they are trying to determine from where the narcotics originated.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said the department has collected about 100 pounds on marijuana from beaches just on Wednesday alone.

On Thursday, he said even more marijuana washed up, this time on the beach in Jungle Hut Park. Before deputies arrived, beachgoers were arguing over whether to keep the drugs or turn them into law enforcement.

Jay-Z Receives Key to New Orleans from Mayor LaToya Cantrell During ‘OTR II’ Tour

After the city of Columbia, New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell ‘surprised’ Jay-Z and Beyonce with “a key to the city” on Monday. According to the mayor’s Instagram post, the acknowledgment was “to highlight both his and Beyonce’s collective humanitarian work.”

The post shows the 4:44 rapper clad in a simple tee-shirt and jeans as he received the framed key from the mayor. He was also sporting a gold chain around his neck, his look complete with a maroon cap on backward.

This brings back memories of just last month, when the Mayor of the City of Columbia, Steve Benjamin, presented the rapper with the key to the city, apart from also naming August 21 as the Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Shawn Carter day in the city.

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s OTRII tour is scheduled to end the coming month on October 4.

Stormy Daniels Compares President Trump’s Penis to ‘Mushroom Character In Mario Kart’

This takes tell-all book to another level.

In April, Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti revealed that the adult-film star could “describe the president’s genitalia in great detail.”

Now, in her new book Full Disclosure, Daniels apparently does vividly explain President Donald Trump’s penis after all, with the world looking at the video game Mario Kart in a completely different light.

A copy of the book was obtained by The Guardian. In it, Daniels describes her mounting disbelief as Trump began to win primary contests in 2016 for the Republican presidential nomination. Former crew members whom she had not heard from in years, but who had heard her story about sleeping with Trump in 2006, would call her up to marvel at the news.

She describes Trump’s penis as “smaller than average” but “not freakishly small.”

“He knows he has an unusual penis,” Daniels writes. “It has a huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool.”

“I lay there, annoyed that I was getting fucked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart.”

“It may have been the least impressive sex I’d ever had, but clearly, he didn’t share that opinion.”

Stormy Daniels, a woman who was paid to stay quiet about allegedly having sex with Donald Trump, says that his small penis looks like the mushroom character “Toad” in Mario Kart, and that his pubes are like those of a Yeti.
