New York rapper A$AP Rocky isn’t coming back home quite yet. New reports claim a Sweden judge has decided to keep him behind bars for alleged assault.

According to reports, Rocky will spend at least one more week overseas and in jail.

A judge just sided with prosecutors and ordered that A$AP stay in jail for another week while prosecutors continue their investigation. They say they’ll make a final decision next Thursday … although given their original press release early Friday, it seems the die is already cast — they’re going to indict A$AP. Prosecutors say they must keep the rapper behind bars because he’s a flight risk. (TMZ)

This week, reality TV star Kim Kardashian went to Twitter to publicly acknowledge President Donald Trump and his reported low-key aim to get Rocky released.

Kim previously met with Trump in 2018 to discuss prison reform.

Prosecutors have until Friday morning to decide whether Rocky will be formally charged. In May 2018, Kardashian West met with the president at the White House to discuss prison reform and a possible pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, who was more than two decades into a life sentence for a first-time conviction in a drug-trafficking case. Trump commuted Johnson’s sentence a month later. (NBC News)

According to reports, Kanye West ultimately encouraged Kim to reach out to the White House to help free Rocky.

She shared a TMZ report and tweeted an open thank you to Trump, Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, “Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo, Jared Kushner, and “everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends. Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated.” According to TMZ’s sources, Kanye urged Kim to contact Kushner, who then took the news to Trump. The president reportedly expressed interest in helping Rocky. (Pitchfork)
