6ix9ine’s Record Label Loses Half-a-Million Dollars on Video Shoot

6ix9ine’s record label is taking an L on his recent video shoot.

Last Thursday (Nov. 8), gunfire erupted on set of Tekashi’s video at an $80 million Beverly Hills mansion. As a result, the shoot was canceled and the rapper’s record label, Universal Music Group, has incurred a loss of nearly half-a-million dollars.

According to TMZ, Universal spent more than $480,000 to fund the video shoot that was supposed to feature Nicki Minaj and Kanye West. But production came to a halt after around eight shots were fired and at least one bullet went through a bedroom window.

Photos from the set show the mansion windows covered in Tekashi’s signature rainbow colors. There are currently no plans to reschedule or reshoot, so Universal will end up eating the cost.

Tekashi had also reportedly hired the two strip club bartenders who are suing Cardi B to appear in the clip for the song off his upcoming album Dummy Boy, due Nov. 23.
