New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s former management is headed to prison for a long sentence. Today, a judge handed the rap newcomer’s ex-manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan 15 years in prison on a gun conviction.

According to reports, Shotti’s sentence comes as a result of previously pleading guilty to one count of firearm possession and one count of firearm discharge both during a crime.

The charges stemmed from two separate incidents from April 2018, all of which also involved 6ix9ine. The first incident, which took place on April 3, saw Jordan, 6ix9ine, and other associates rob a rival gang member and rapper while Jordan was brandishing a pistol. The second incident took place in the afternoon of April 21, during which an individual approached Jordan, Hernandez, and other associates at a restaurant and shouted a derogatory comment at them. Jordan, 6ix9ine, and the others got into their car and drove away. When the individual and one other person followed them, Jordan got out of his vehicle and fired two shots at their car. (Pitchfork)

Earlier this week, speculation developed about prosecutors wanting Shotti to receive 15 years behind bars.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, prosecutors are laying out their case prior to Shotti’s (real name: Kifano Jordan) sentencing, which is scheduled for September 6. Shotti was arrested on federal charges around the same time Tekashi was locked up for the same crimes. In their motion they argue, “The defendant was a high-ranking member of the racketeering enterprise known as the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods (“Nine Trey”).” (The Blast)

Earlier this year, rumors developed about a rift brewing between Tek and Shotti over the jailed manager allegedly sleeping with his daughter’s mother.

Akademiks jumped online to suggest that Molina was subpoenaed – summoned to court – by the police to provide a witness statement surrounding 6ix9ine’s alleged crimes. “She went missing for a month after talking to the Feds. How are you at liberty to post some s*** like that. You know the feds just talked to you?” he said. “I need some clarification baby girl.” Akademiks also suggested that Molina slept with a member of 6ix9ine’s crew, his ex-manager Shotti. In a recent interview, Dipset’s Jim Jones said Tek’s decision to work with the feds in a drug trafficking case forced him to no longer support the Brooklyn rapper.

“His history is erased. We not even gon’ say what we liked or what we [don’t like]. Screw him. He did some actions that he can’t come back from, so his name non-mentionable – I don’t know what he could do [if he gets released]. I don’t give a f*ck what he could do. That’s not my job. If he did step foot in there, they should stay far away from him. I grew up in the era where certain things – you can’t come back from. It’s not fixing that. You black, you black forever. You a rat, you a rat forever. Ain’t no coming back from that. So, that’s a subject that we don’t even have to touch on.” (“The Cruz Show”)
