New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine isn’t quitting rap when he gets out of prison. Fresh reports claim the hip-hop artist is planning a major comeback once he’s released.

According to reports, 6ix9ine is already putting his next album together.

“It looks like he will be making music right away when he comes home,” said a music insider. “He already contacted a young NYC producer, and someone purchased two beats for him.” Tekashiwho will be sentenced in December, was facing a minimum of 47 years for firearms and racketeering charges, but snitched on a number of people to reduce his sentence. According to reports, Tek is set to be sentenced in mid-December.

Turncoat rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine will learn how much his government cooperation paid off when he returns to court for sentencing on Dec. 18. The rainbow-haired “Gummo” singer faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 47 years behind bars — unless prosecutors are pleased with his performance on the stand during a recent gang trial. The 23-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, spent three days in September testifying about the inner workings of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, who he says he joined to promote his music. A few days ago, buzz developed about 6ix9ine’s lawyer wanting his client’s fate revealed before the currently scheduled January 2020 sentencing date.

According to court documents obtained by XXL, on Friday (Oct. 4), U.S Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman filed paperwork where Tekashi’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro requests his client’s sentencing date be expedited. The “Gummo” rapper’s original sentencing date was set for Jan. 24, 2020, but the rapper wants it to happen before the end of the year. According to the document, the prosecution does not oppose the appeal. (XXL Mag)

According to recent reports, 6ix9ine is confident he can get back to music-making once he’s out of prison.

The federal trial that saw the rapper sing like a canary for 3 days wraps up Thursday as prosecutors and defense attorneys give closing arguments. Tekashi pointed fingers and named names of his old gang members (and other celebs too), but sources close to him tell us he will forgo any participation in witness protection — and will instead opt for a life of fame. That might sound like a death wish, considering how many people he rolled over on during his testimony — but we’re told Tekashi’s still itching to make new music, and believes he can pick up where he left off.
