However, an upcoming 10-part “30 For 30” documentary series titled The Last Dance will put a spotlight specifically on Mike’s sixth and final championship the Chicago Bulls in 1997-1998. The project was announced in May, and ESPN reported that the show would premiere in 2019. However, according to NBA On ESPN, there is a new release date for 2020.
The teaser states, “A film crew was granted unprecedented access all season long,” while the initial press release boasted that the series was “Anchored by more than 500 hours of never-before-seen footage.” The team drama and internal rivalries that were going on behind-the-scenes are on full display within this 60-second spot. Viewers are treated to snatches of interviews with the Bulls’ other All-Star players from that era like Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, and Bulls coach Phil Jackson
