Tekashi 6ix9ine has seen Gunna’s recent statement and support for YSL and thinks it is all a joke.

Doubling down in his stance that he did not snitch, Gunna wrote on Instagram: “N***as acting like they switching to a side But it’s only one side. #YslTheLabel #FreeThug & Yak GUNNA BACC!!!!!”

In the image, Gunna is seen sitting in what can be considered a living room with a studio set up, presumably getting ready to craft new music.

The statement is the first for Gunna since his attorney released one in December. The attorney, Steve Sadow, hit social media to shut down lies.

Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail,” Sadow wrote. “He has said nothing and is not cooperating. His plea statement cannot be used in court against any other defendant. So please stop spreading lies.”

Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge in the YSL RICO case that landed himself, Young Thug, and more in jail.

According to WSB-TV 2 Atlanta, Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, appeared before a judge on Wednesday, taking the Alford plea, citing pleading guilt was his best interest while maintaining innocence.

Gunna was sentenced to five years, with one serving in prison. The one-year is commuted to time served, while the four-year balance is suspended and will result in a special arrangement, including 500 hours of community service.

Bankroll Freddie Accused Of Drug Trafficking, Asks Feds To Return Jewelry Taken During Arrest

Screen Shot 2022 12 05 at 2.34.55 PM

Last month, Arkansas-born rapper Bankroll Freddie was arrested in a gun and drug indictment in his home state and later picked up a RICO indictment after being accused of moving hundreds of kilos of cocaine and marijuana. Apparently, all Freddie, whose given name is Freddie Glatney III, cares about is his jewelry that was taken during his arrest.

It was revealed via court docs that Glatney was being charged with “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and at least 100 kilograms but less than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana and other drug and firearm offenses.”

Freddie reportedly filed a motion asking that his jewelry be returned that was taken during a traffic stop that turned into an arrest in April 2022. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas Jonathan Ross asked a federal judge to deny the motion, saying, “This Court should deny [Freddie’s] request for return of property for multiple reasons. First, the charges, in this case, have been dismissed, and the property at issue relates to an ongoing matter pending in front of Judge Moody. This dispute should be decided in that case. Second, the property is an item sought for forfeiture in the ongoing case. Finally, the jewelry is evidence in the ongoing criminal prosecution.”

Bankroll Freddie and 34 co-defendants face a RICO indictment and are collectively facing 16 federal charges.

YSL TRIAL UPDATE: Young Thug’s Team Files Motion to Remove Lyrics from Evidence

young thug denied bond

Young Thug’s legal team filed a motion to have his Thug’s lyrics, along with social media posts and music videos, removed from evidence. The rapper’s attorney stated that using his client’s speech and artistry as evidence can be considered a “Constitutional Violation” and “an abuse of discretion.” His attorney argues that Thug’s lyrics are protected under the Constitution. The legal team further argues that using his lyrics and speech against his client is “racist and discriminatory because the jury will be so poisoned and prejudiced by these lyrics/poetry/artistry/speech.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has defended using lyrics as evidence. “I think if you decide to admit your crimes over a beat, I’m going to use it,” Willis said during the press conference in August when she announced the RICO charges against a gang in Fulton County. “To use rap lyrics without proper context in prosecutions, it’s highly prejudicial and deprives the accused of a fair trial,” says formal defense attorney,  U.S. Representative Hank Johnson. Johnson and U.S. Representative Jamaal Bowman introduced the Restoring Artistic Protection Act (RAP Act) to limit the admissibility of artists’ lyrics or expressions as evidence in federal court cases.

D.A. Willis had filed the motion for a two-month delay in October to allow some of the defendants more time to find legal representation. During the hearing, Judge Ural Glanville set the January trial date after denying the prosecution’s motion to delay proceedings until March.
