Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records) celebrated the upcoming anniversary of her debut mixtape, Last Day of Summer, by giving back to her community with the relaunch of “Buy Black Women Sh*t.” The initiative took place on the actual last day of the Summer season, September 22, and had Summer highlighting a group of Black women-owned businesses that push for self-care in the Atlanta area with an activation that offered fans access to discounts, products, and more.
The initiative was also in partnership with LVRN Cares, the powerhouse label’s philanthropic arm that aims to assist underrepresented communities. Some of the businesses that participated in this year’s event include City Dogz, Lot23 Chandler, The Secret Garden, The Lash Vault, Dope People Meet, Sati Yoga & Wellness, The Lash Vault, Atlanta Curves, and more. The directory for the initiative will be available on Walker’s website until September 22, 2025. Walker first launched the initiative last year on September 22, which is also “Summer Walker Day” in Atlanta.
Last Day of Summer was released in October 2018 and propelled Walker into the spotlight and spawned her multi-platinum single, “Girls Need Love,” and the celebrated remix featuring Drake, which soared to No. 2 on the Hot R&B and entered the top 40 of the Hot 100. She also released the revamped version of Last Day of Summer (Sped-Up) after the viral explosion of her sped-up platinum-certified single “Karma,” which created spikes in her streams, went No. 2 on the Hot R&B and entered the top 40 of the Hot 100.

Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish found herself in legal trouble once again, as she was arrested on DUI charges in Beverly Hills early Friday morning. This marks the second DUI arrest for Haddish in less than a year.
TMZ reported that The Beverly Hills Police Department received a call around 5:45 AM reporting a vehicle stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive. Officers responded to the scene to find Tiffany allegedly slumped over the wheel while the car was running. Despite no reported accident, law enforcement took swift action, placing Haddish in handcuffs and arresting her without incident.
Haddish, known for her roles in comedy and acting, had performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood the previous night as part of the club’s 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.
This latest arrest comes just a year after Tiffany Haddish faced DUI charges in Peachtree City, GA. In that incident, Peachtree City PD responded to a call of someone sleeping behind the wheel, finding Haddish pulling into a neighborhood. She was booked for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway. Scheduled to go to trial on December 4 for the previous case, Haddish now faces legal repercussions on multiple fronts.

Sharon Osbourne recently shared a wild story about a time when legendary singer Whitney Houston accused her of wanting her then-husband Bobby Brown. Sharon Osbourne has revealed that Whitney Houston once accused her of trying to sleep with her husband Bobby Brown, leaving her so flustered by the shock encounter that she gave the late singer her ring in an attempt to calm her.
The former X Factor judge, 71, said the confusion occurred during rehearsals for VH1 show, Divas Duets, in 2003, when Whitney was rehearsing, and Bobby and their daughter Bobbi Kristina, ended up sitting alongside Sharon to watch.
According to Sharon however, her apparent closeness with Bobby didn’t sit too well with Whitney when she finished her sound check on-stage.
‘I was hosting the Divas for VH1 and I was at sound check and Whitney was up on stage doing her sound check,’ Sharon recalled on her family podcast, The Osbournes.
‘Her little girl obviously liked watching [our former MTV reality show] The Osbournes and she came up and sat next to me – gorgeous little thing. And then suddenly her dad came and sat the other side of me, Bobby.’
She continued: ‘Whitney’s up there singing and she stops singing and the track is still going, and slowly the track stops. And she goes, “Mrs Osbourne, are you trying to f**k my husband?” And I’m like, “No, no please, I’m not!”‘
Sharon, who had been married to Ozzy Osbourne for 21 years at the time, jumped out of her seat in panic and ran down the aisle professing her innocence.
‘I was going, “No no no, you don’t understand. I wasn’t”,’ she said.
Fortunately, her pave diamond ring saved her from further embarrassment, by distracting the singer, who demanded a closer look.
Sharon continued: ‘She goes, “Let me see that ring,” and I was like, “I’d love you to have it”.
‘I gave her the ring, threw it at her, and said, “I promise you, I’m not interested in your husband, I’m married!”‘
