New Jersey rapper Redman is totally here for what Dapper Dan is doing in 2019. The hip-hop veteran has co-signed Harlem’s own for pushing controversial high-end brand Gucci for launching a new Changemakers Fund.

Reggie Noble went to Instagram this week to salute Dapper on playing a key role in getting Gucci to help black fashion designers break into the industry.

Earlier in the week, rap mogul Dame Dash reacted to Gucci’s $5 million fund.

This week, New York rapper Mysonne explained his issues with Gucci’s $5 million Changemakers Fund.

According to reports, the company’s new initiative launched following a recent sit-down with Gucci affiliate and iconic black designer Dapper Dan.

The program includes three separate tiers: the Gucci Changemakers Fund, a scholarship program, and a company-wide volunteering initiative. All three programs are meant to foster racial diversity in both the company and the fashion industry as a whole. The changes come after Harlem couturier Dapper Dan (who has an ongoing collaboration with the brand) met with Gucci’s CEO and President Marco Bizzarri to voice his concerns. (Harper’s Bazaar)
