Music veteran R. Kelly is staying in the headlines. The King of R&B pulled through Wednesday for a child support case in Chicago.
According to reports, Kells’ appearance is to address failing to pay over $160,000 in child support.
Sources connected to the embattled singer tell us Kelly hasn’t covered the $161,633 he owes to his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, and his deadline is today … Wednesday at 10 AM Central Time. If Kelly doesn’t settle up with the court by then, he can be hauled off to jail. (TMZ)

This week, reports emerged about Kelly’s friend Valencia Patrice Love receiving a bomb threat at a daycare center over the weekend.
4:50 PM PT — Law enforcement sources tell us that authorities did NOT find an explosive device at the daycare center. 4:15 PM PT — Chicago PD just confirmed the details of the bomb scare to TMZ … saying multiple calls came in Saturday reporting a bomb threat, adding that the daycare center was evacuated.
