When it comes to royalty among ladies in Hip-Hop there is no name bigger than Queen Latifah. A couple weeks after Nicki Minaj and Cardi B almost threw hands, the Queen visited Live with Kelly and Ryan and expressed the two superstars need to put their issues behind them.

“I have a lot of respect for female rappers. We are such a powerful minority,” said Latifah. “I say powerful in the sense that if you hear a female rapper’s record come through on the radio, you hear that record, you know that record, you memorize that record. We just stand out. I’d really rather see ’em shoot the fair one on a record and take everybody out.”

After the New York Fashion Week incident, Nicki Minaj hit Queen Radio and spoke on the events that made the news, stating she was embarrassed and chastising Cardi for her reaction. Cardi, on the other hand, has not directly acknowledged the incident, but just subliminally provided posts regarding such on Instagram. Hopefully, they both find the message from legend Latifah and let it all go.
