As he gears up for his new album I’m Him, Kevin Gates is stating “Facts.”

The high-energy track finds the Baton Rouge MC preaching to the streets. “It’s just me venting about everything,” he explained. “It’s all facts. Sometimes, venting is the best thing you can do to cleanse your heart. I’m not going to let the pain from my past affect my future. You need to let go of unresolved grief. Don’t keep it all bottled inside.”

In the companion video, directed by Chandler Lass, a shirtless Gates shows off his fit physique while running through the streets.

“Facts” follows “Push It” as the second release from his upcoming album I’m Him, due later this year. He sampled John Mayer’s “Your Body Is a Wonderland” on one particular track. “I’ve got my own rendition to it. That song, you can’t work out to it,” he told Travis Mills on Beats 1.
