After joining Ella Mai on stage in Brooklyn, Meek Mill brought out some special guests on his “Motivation Tour.”
During his first of two shows at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday (Mar. 12), Meek surprised the crowd with an appearance from Lil Uzi Vert. The Philly rapper had the crowd hype as he performed his smash “XO Tour Llif3” alongside Meek.
In January, Uzi announced that he was quitting music, which Meek referenced while introducing him. “You know I’m retired, but I’m in the building for you,” replied Uzi.
Meek also thrilled the hometown crowd by bringing out Brooklyn’s own Fabolous, who joined Meek to perform their Championships collaboration “Uptown Vibes.”
The “Motivation Tour” has been full of surprises. Last month, Meek was joined on stage by YG, Nipsey Hussle, PnB Rock, and Drake during his Los Angeles show at the Hollywood Palladium.
Meek will return to the stage tonight for a second show at Hammerstein before continuing to Philly and Washington, D.C. The tour wraps March 24 in Atlanta.
