Mary J. Blige is flyer than ever at 50.
In honor of her 50th birthday, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul celebrated by sharing a photo of herself in a gold bikini. A glowing Mary shows off her fit physique while posing on the beach during her birthday vacation.
“Tough love is the therapy!” she captioned the pic, adding the hashtag #MaryJFly.
She continued to celebrate her glow up in a second photo captioned with the hashtag #WhereTheMoneyReside, a reference to the tagline made famous by Louisiana car salesman Durell Smylie.
The stunning pics received hundreds of thousands of likes from fans and friends including Busta Rhymes, Angie Martinez, and Jermaine Dupri, who shared birthday messages for the R&B icon.
Along with looking good, Mary is feeling good. She has been in the studio working on a new album, the follow-up to 2017’s Strength of a Woman, which reflects her current mind state. “It’s about life, love, struggle, but mostly triumph,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “Because I’m learning how to rejoice in the valleys and the droughts.”
The birthday girl can also be seen on television. She plays ruthless crime boss Monet Stewart Tejada in “Power Book II: Ghost,” the spinoff to Starz’s hit crime drama, “Power.”
