The Flame, a posthumous book of poems by Leonard Cohen, was recently released. It incorporates a piece titled “Kanye West Is Not Picasso.” Written in March 2015, the poem references both Kanye and JAY-Z and incorporates lines like “I am the Kanye West of Kanye West/The Kanye West of the great bogus shift of bullshit culture.” Read it beneath, through musician Amanda Shires’ Twitter.
The Flame is out now by means of Farrar, Straus and Giroux. As of late, Cohen’s child Adam uncovered that another posthumous collection of his dad’s chronicles is in progress.
