K. Michelle to Release Music on Death Row Records

K. Michelle is down with Death Row.

The R&B songstress is set to release her next single on the storied West Coast label. Taking to social media on Wednesday (May 15), K. Michelle shared a photo of herself wearing a Death Row Records hoodie and revealed that she has signed a deal with the iconic and controversial label.

“Guess who’s releasing a record on DEATHROW,” she told her fans, adding that it’s just a one-song deal and not a permanent situation. “y’all not my album a song😂 Calm down.”

She explained that it has been a dream of hers to release music on the same label that Tupac Shakur was signed to. “Call me a crazy lady but I’ve always wanted to to be apart of deathrow!Lol!” she added. “My crazy ass is gone do it! I used to wear my Tupac shirt my momma bought me and rap and sing!Ha! Do anything you want!”

Founded in 1991 by Suge Knight, Dr. Dre, and The D.O.C., Death Row was once home to rap legends including Dre, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Nate Dogg.

K. Michelle was previously signed to Atlantic Records, where she released four albums including her most recent, 2017’s Kimberly: The People I Used to Know. She is no longer listed on the label’s website.

She is now working on her fifth album. In November, she said it would be titled FAB, which stands for Fuck All U Bitches.

“My 5th album is titled ‘FAB’ FUCK All u Bitches!” she tweeted. “It’s really pretty musically epic! Real good music. R&B money! Thank you.”
