Drake is going nonstop.
During his show in Edmonton, Canada on Wednesday (Nov. 7), the 6 God announced plans to return to the studio and record a follow-up to Scorpion as soon as he wraps his “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour.”
“Six shows left…I guess most people would go on a vacation, or I don’t know what they do…I’ma tell you what I’ma do,” he told the crowd (via Complex). “Because I keep having nights like this that remind me why I love my job so much. I promise you that as soon as this tour is over–and maybe I’ll take, like, a little break–I’ma get right to work on a new album, so we can be right back here […] and have a new party.”

This isn’t the first time he’s teased new music. During his Nashville tour stop, Drake announced that he will be hitting the lab with Memphis producer Tay Keith once the tour is over. “I’m about to go finish this tour, I’ma go home,” he said. “I’ma spend some time with my family, with my friends, and I promise you that the next thing I’m doing is going right back to the studio with Tay Keith from Memphis, Tennessee and we gon’ make us some new music.”
The upcoming project, his first since June’s Scorpion, will reportedly be his last for Young Money/Cash Money. “Soon as the album drop, I’m out of the deal,” he raps on “Is There More.”
According to a report from Variety, Drake will have another project ready to drop as soon as he announces a new deal. However, he supposedly won’t be leaving the Universal label family anytime soon.
