Casanova will face assault charges filed by a woman who claims the Brooklyn rapper assaulted her in a Midtown Manhattan diner.
After the BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony in Miami, Brooklyn rapper Casanova 2X returned to NYC only to face an indictment for robbery and coercion in the assault case filed by Niya Rucker in August.
Casanova’s co-defendant, Bobby Williams, was charged with strangulation.
Casanova, whose real name is Caswell Senior, immediately turned himself in after the warrant was issued for his arrest.
Rucker claims that the Roc Nation MC “forcibly stole” her phone from her, maintaining that she suffered a broken jaw, stitches and a knocked out tooth in the meleè.
Casanova maintains his innocence.
