1501 Certified Entertainment CEO Carl Crawford is speaking out. The former MLB superstar has addressed estranged protégé Megan Thee Stallion claiming the label is preventing her from releasing new music.

This week, Carl shared his reaction to Megan coming at his neck. In a new interview, Crawford questioned the Houston native’s multiple claims against 1501.
“The bubble of Hollywood and her eight million followers has really clouded her head, because the stuff that she’s saying is not true. It’s a whole lie. Nothing is true that she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give. Carl Crawford didn’t stop there. The record label executive also singled out Meg’s new ties to Roc Nation and the management company’s head JAY-Z.

This week, Meg took legal action against 1501. The H-Town rap star sued the company and received major backing from a judge.
A district judge in Harris County Texas granted Megan a temporary restraining order which prevents her label from blocking the music she plans to drop on Friday. In the suit, Megan lays out the most outrageous terms of her contract, at least in her eyes. For instance, she claims the deal calls for 1501 Certified to get 60% of her recording income. The remaining 40% goes to her, but she has to use that to pay engineers, mixers and featured artists who work on the songs. (TMZ)

So when I got with Roc Nation, I got management, real management, I got real lawyers and they was like, ‘Do you know that this was in your contract?’ I said, ‘No damn, that’s crazy.
