New York rapper Busta Rhymes wants Stevie Wonder to know he’s in his prayers. The hip-hop veteran has come forward to send out positive vibes to the music icon as he prepares for an upcoming kidney transplant.

Busta went to Instagram Monday to let Wonder know he’s thinking of him and detail how much he means to the world.

This past weekend, Wonder announced plans to fall back from touring and move forward with a kidney transplant.

Near the end of his headline set at British Summer Time Hyde Park, just after singing the encore “Superstition,” Wonder told the audience of about 65,000 people: “I’m going to be doing three shows then taking a break. So what’s going to happen is this. I’m going to have surgery. I’m going to have a kidney transplant at the end of September this year. I have a donor. It is all good. I want you to know that I came here to give you my love and to thank you for yours. You ain’t gotta hear no rumours about us, I told you what’s happening, I’m good. I love you, and God bless you.” (Forbes)

Stevie is expected to give fans a few more performances before his surgery.

According to The AP, Wonder said that he will play three more shows before he takes a break prior to surgery. In addition, he stated that he has a kidney donor. (Pitchfork)
