Ariana Grande Responds to Kanye West After Being Called Out

Ariana Grande is responding to Kanye West for making “insensitive” comments at his expense.

In the midst of his Twitter tirade, where Kanye called out Drake for threatening him, Grande stepped in with a comment about “grown men arguing online” that didn’t sit well with Ye. It also came as Grande was gearing up to release her new single “imagine.”

“guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u,” she wrote, referring to herself and Miley Cyrus, who was releasing a Christmas single with Mark Ronson.

Kanye fired back on Saturday (Dec. 15), telling Grande that he was not amused by her tweet. “I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me,” he said.

The comment was especially taxing on his mental health. “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song,” he tweeted.

Grande responded by telling Ye that she wasn’t using him to promote her music and apologized for being “insensitive” with her tweet.

“with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period,” she wrote. “i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”

Before logging off Twitter, she made one parting comment. “last thing. stop weaponizing mental health. everyone,” she tweeted.

Kanye said he’s been off meds for six months now and he feels more alive than ever. “I’m loving the new music I’ve been working on,” he said. “6 months off meds I can feel me again.”

He also praised Gucci Mane and Quavo for “destigmatizing” mental health with their Evil Genius collaboration “BiPolar.” “I love that we are destigmitizing mental health Gucciman and Quavo have a song Bipolar this is so good for culture.”

During his latest round of tweets, Kanye revealed that he was meeting with Travis Scott to discuss Drake’s alleged diss on “SICKO MODE” and vowed that it would never happen again. “Meeting with Trav tonight bet it never be a checks over stripes line again on a Trav song on Donda,” he wrote.
