This past weekend fans of Rae Sremmurd were in social media mourning when Slim Jxmmi seemingly revealed he and Swae Lee have split. Tweeting “Y’all won” a la Offset, Jxmmi stated that he was not in Rae Sremmurd and revealing he had a solo album on the way.
But is it over for real? Not if the official Twitter for the duo is to be believed. The account released a tweet that points to everything is good: “Brothers gonna be brothers, it’s SREMMLIFE forever. ”
The news of a Slim Jxmmi releasing a solo album shouldn’t be too alarming. After all, their third release as a unit was actually a triple album with each member arriving solo and dropping one together. For the meantime, we have to wait, see and hope that everything is good for the brothers.
