West Coast rapper YG has followed through on his promise to drop new audio heat. On Friday, the Bompton hip-hop artist officially blessed the rap game with his new 4REAL 4REAL album.
Packed with collaborations, the Nipsey Hussle-dedicated LP keeps the late California legend’s legacy alive.
YG has released his fourth studio album 4Real 4Real. It’s the Los Angeles rapper’s first LP since last year’s Stay Dangerous. YG planned to drop the project by surprise last month but postponed the release after his friend and longtime collaborator Nipsey Hussle’s murder. The album’s cover art, unveiled on Tuesday, pays tribute to the late rapper with text that reads, “In loving memory of Nipsey Hussle.” YG also commemorated Hussle’s death last month during his Coachella performance and spoke with (DJ) Mustard during Hussle’s memorial service at Staples Center. Earlier in the week, YG relied on some very NSFW imagery to plug his album.
A couple nights ago, West Coast rapper Game hit up IG to explain why true rap fans should add YG’s upcoming solo effort to their collection.
This week, YG shared the project’s artwork and revealed he would dedicate it to his late friend Nipsey Hussle.
