Atlanta rapper Offset is proving it’s deeper than rap. The hip-hop star has confirmed hype and speculation about buying property in Georgia.
Last night, Off went to Instagram to acknowledge the real estate power move and tip his hat to late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
Earlier in the week, buzz developed about Off and his wife Cardi B buying up multiple Georgia homes.
Cardi B. and Offset are reportedly the proud owners of not one – but five – new homes in Jonesboro, Georgia, according to reports. WABE reports the pair purchased the homes for about $202,000 and an adjoining lot for another $50,000. “We are investors so we’re buying and selling property all the time,” the seller, JMH Home Buyers President Jeff Dimock, told WABE. “It was interesting that it was a celebrity couple, I assumed it was somebody looking for a good cash-flow investment. During the pre-sale conversations we were not aware of the buyers’ identities.” (11 Alive)
Additional details have also surfaced on how decked-out the houses are.
Four of the properties have three bedrooms and one bathroom and the other is a two-bedroom home with a single bathroom, WABE reported. Currently, four of the five homes have tenants. (Springfield News-Sun)
The power move has reportedly sparked immediate interest from other potential buyers.
Selling to celebrities has its perks, even when the property is in Clayton County, a southern suburb of Atlanta. A day after the purchase was made public Dimock says he heard from a buyer in California interested in “buying whatever property we had near theirs.” (WABE News)
