Pounds – “Food Savers” Ft. 38 Spesh (Prod. By Really Hiiim)

Pounds already gave ya’ll an AOTY contender with Buckwild (DITC) titled “Trafficante” earlier this year, but he’s back to end the summer with another full-length titled “There Is No Mafia.” The lead single and video, “Jenga,” established that this project is a darker and more personal affair.

Now, Mr. 448 is giving listeners an even harder second single titled “Food Savers” premiered here…if you know, you know. This bleak banger is produced by up-n-coming beat-cooker Really Hiiim and features Pounds fellow Rochester kingpin, 38 Spesh. The game ain’t ready for this one.

Pounds – “BAG” (Video)

POUNDS hits the Harlem streets with the one and only Pee Wee Kirkland in the cinematic new video for “Bag.”

In addition to featuring footage of the Rochester-based spitter running things in his crib with his crew, the visuals directed and edited by OTTO The Director center on a mellow afternoon out and about with Kirkland in tow.

It’s an apt representation of not just “Bag” but the entirety of Pee Wee Kirkland, POUNDS’ latest album that dropped this past August. The project has an air of both celebration and pain permeating through its equally sharp lyricism from POUNDS and his guests along with the production from FITH. This clip certainly evokes the feeling of a celebration, particularly when you see Kirkland flash that huge grin as he and the emcee enjoy some downtime in Harlem.

You can watch the “Bag” video now. Pee Wee Kirkland is available on Bandcamp. Keep an eye out for info on POUNDS forthcoming collaboration LP with Smoke DZA, which will be released via Cinematic Music Group.
