JT’s “OKAY” Earns RIAA-Certified Gold Plaque

JT remains at the top of her game, as her Billboard Hot 100 single “OKAY” is now RIAA-certified gold. Following her headlining City Cinderella Tour, JT (Quality Control Music/Motown) received a gold plaque for “OKAY” in Los Angeles from Quality Control’s Pierre “P” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee. JT’s unrelenting work ethic has paid off this year, as many publications lauded the Miami superstar for her project City Cinderella.

Essence glorified the project in their review, saying: “The City Cinderella soundscape is contemporary and nostalgic, blending classic Miami influences with modern forces,” while Billboard noted City Cinderella is an impressive manifesto for the next stage of JT’s career. Chart-wise, City Cinderella enjoyed a splashy debut, entering at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums and debuting at No. 5 on the Top R&B / Hip-Hop charts.\

[WATCH] JT Releases ‘The City Cinderella Documentary’, Reveals Mixtape Tracklisting

Continuing on her incredible run in 2024, JT (Quality Control Music/Motown) is ready to give the world full access behind her climb hip-hop’s upper echelon with The City Cinderella Documentary. From overcoming tough obstacles like her stint in jail and returning to uncertain circumstances to evolving into one music’s best hitmakers, every layer of JT is unveiled in this heartfelt video. Screenings were held in New York and Miami earlier this week where fans from those respective areas received early access to view the documentary. Avid fans were captivated by JT’s climb to success, as she barreled her way into rap superstardom.

Along with the release of the documentary, JT unveiled the track list to her 16-track mixtape City Cinderella. Slated to drop this Friday, JT has wowed audiences with her array of hits, stage presence and steely bravado. City Cinderella includes features from Jeezy, DJ Khaled and Stunna Girl. To keep her momentum going, JT covered Paper Magazine, where she spoke on releasing her first ever solo mixtape and the recording process as a solo artist. Titled “Larger Than Life,” readers received a snapshot to the life of one of Miami’s biggest stars.

Last month, JT’s momentum reached its apex when she released the remix to her Hot 100 hit “OKAY” with Jeezy. After teasing fans with billboards across Atlanta featuring a Cinderella heel and a snowman, JT and Jeezy’s fiery combination makes them an unbeatable duo. “OKAY” will reside on JT’s 16-track mixtape City Cinderella, where she previously unveiled the stunning artwork. “OKAY” has even caught the attention of music icon Madonna, who cosigned the song on Instagram.

JT Announces ‘City Cinderella Tour’ Slated For August

 Continuing on her incredible run in 2024 and following her sold out club tour, JT is ready to take her talents on the road again — this time with the upcoming City Cinderella Tour. Presented by AG Entertainment/Mammoth. JT is primed and ready to topple the competition again after the sweltering success of her latest single, “OKAY,” and the song’s mega remix featuring Jeezy.

Slated to kick off Aug. 20 in Kansas City, JT will make stops in New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and more. The tour will also arrive shortly after JT releases her debut mixtape, City Cinderella, which comes on Jul. 19. Venue/promoter pre-sale starts on Wednesday, Jul. 10 at 10AM local and Spotify pre-sale launches Thursday, Jul. 11 at 10 AM local.

With Summer officially here, JT (Quality Control Music/Motown) looks to topple the competition again with her upcoming mixtape, City Cinderella. Dropping July 19, City Cinderella will be JT’s debut mixtape as a solo artist. She also unveiled the stunning cover art for the 16-track project.

Last week, JT’s momentum reached its apex when she released the remix to her Hot 100 hit “OKAY” with Jeezy. After teasing fans with billboards across Atlanta featuring a Cinderella heel and a snowman, JT and Jeezy’s fiery combination makes them an unbeatable duo.

After scoring the biggest hit of her solo career with “OKAY,” JT has enjoyed an incredible run in 2024, as the song netted over 40 million U.S. streams to date. Widely considered one of the greatest rap groups of all time, City Girls built JT into a hip-hop powerhouse. As a solo superstar, she continues to impress with her swagger and unshakable confidence. Billboard has already anointed the Miami-bred MC as one of the hottest female rappers of the moment. This year, she dominated the Hot 100 and set the club circuit on fire with her celebrated JT’s Coming Tour.

She has also been very charitable with her JT World Help Foundation, where she teamed up with local partners to give prom dresses to high school students. JT’s altruism continued when she gifted Miss Florida her 2022 BET Awards dress for this year’s upcoming Miss America competition, highlighting JT’s heart and willingness always to give back.

Following the success of her JT Coming Club Tour, the Miami star will take her talents to the ESSENCE Festival this week, where she’ll be performing on the Coca-Cola Stage on July 5 while participating in the ESSENCE Gu’s BeautyCon Panel the following day. To top that all off, she was highlighted in Ebony’s Black Music Month Freedom List.
