Young Thug Hit with $145,000 Tax Lien

Young Thug is in trouble with the tax man.

The “London” rapper has been hit with a $145,000 lien in unpaid taxes. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, The Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax lien against Thug on July 30.

The lien accuses him of owing $145,794.03 over the course of 2015. The original balance owed was $85,254 but has grown with interest ($21,125.88), penalties ($22,313.35), and other costs to the current debt.

If payment is not made immediately, the Department of Revenue warns Thug that they could begin seizing his property and assets.

Earlier this year, Thug scored a victory in his drug case when a Georgia judge sided with the rapper and dismissed the charges. The case stemmed from a September 2017 incident where he was pulled over for a window tint violation and cops reportedly smelled marijuana. They arrested Thug after searching the car and finding other drugs.

Meanwhile, Thug has been in the studio working on his upcoming album So Much Fun as well as Super Slimey 2, a sequel to 2017’s collaborative mixtape with Future. If that isn’t enough to cover the tax bill, he will also hit the road with Machine Gun Kelly, starting Sept. 30 in Toronto.
