Rap rookie Lil Baby is on his work grind. The hip-hop artist has dished on everything from his upcoming Street Gossip album to fellow hip-hop star Tekashi 6ix9ine.

In a new Hot 97 interview, Baby talked about his growing popularity and why despite working with 6ix9ine he won’t reach out to him during his current legal crunch.

“We’ve been cool for a minute. When I first, first started rapping, he was already popping – I think we’re on the same level and – we always chopped it up. If it happens, it happens. It’s not like we text like, ‘Yo bro, let’s go to the studio.’ If it happens, it happens. I don’t reach out to nobody in jail.” (Hot 97)
