Young Dolph Says He ‘Single-handedly’ Made Memphis Hip-Hop Hot

Somewhere Yo Gotti and Three 6 Mafia are shaking their heads. Young Dolph, Gotti’s same city enemy, hit Everyday Struggle and while he big upped Memphis Hip-Hop he let out a debatable statement that he is the reason the city has a scene.

“You know why Memphis the shit? Keep it 100 with you . . . All this shit started from Dolph. Everybody, all this shit started from Dolph,” he said. “Everything that comes out. When did all these Memphis artists get hot when there’s so many Memphis artists? I did that, single-handedly.”

Dolph would also say he “put the light on Memphis” and “Memphis wasn’t hot before Dolph came out.”

Now fans would point to the history of Memphis and say Three 6 Mafia originally put on the city and opened an opportunity for artists like Dolph in the area. Recent fans will also point to Yo Gotti for his continues stream of htis for over a decade, but maybe Dolph is referencing being the current hot guy. Does he have a point?

Young Dolph Addresses $500K Jack Move, Says He’s “Blessed”

Young Dolph was recently liberated of $500,000 worth of cash and jewelry, but if you let him tell it’s not a big deal. After getting stopped to chat in LAX, the Memphis rapper says he’s too “blessed” and even wished his haters well.

TMZ reports:

The Memphis MC told us why he’s isn’t mad about the nearly $500k worth of goods he lost in the smash-and-grab heist last week. We saw him at LAX, and he couldn’t have been more chill … telling us, he’s simply “too blessed and highly favored” to give a damn about material stuff.

Considering how much he lost, we wouldn’t blame him if he was pissed — but he genuinely seems at peace with it.

We hope he had insurance. Rapper Young Dolph found himself short of nearly $500,000 in jewelry and luxury items that was taken from his SUV while he sat and ate in a Cracker Barrel.

Yeah, you can’t make this up.

WSBTV reports that Dolph was eating at a Cracker Barrel on Senoia Road in Fairburn, Georgia early Wednesday when he got gaffled, per the Fairburn police.

Surveillance video showed the thieves essentially casing Dolph’s Mercedes Benz SUV a couple of times before breaking in and taking numerous, pricey items.

Dolph told the cops that the following was taken:

  • Diamond chain valued at approximately $27,000
  • Another chain valued at approximately $57,000
  • Richard Mille watch valued at approximately $230,000
  • Patek Philippe watch valued at approximately $85,000
  • Cartier sunglasses valued at $24,000
  • Cartier sunglasses valued at $700
  • Glock firearm
  • Pirelli backpack valued at approximately $300
  • Apple Macbook valued at $3,000
  • Apple Ipad valued at $500
  • Apple Airpods valued at $200

Dolph also claimed that it would cost about $700 to fix the SUV’s broken window.

Also worth noting, the cops may be thinking Dolph is pulling the jig. Assistant Police Chief Anthony Bazydlo was quoted as saying the incident is “unusual in a number of ways.”

Bazydlo said investigators are puzzled by what happened after Young Dolph first got out of his truck. They say the taillights flashed off and on, and in the next couple of minutes, they flashed two more times.

“That’s interesting to us in terms of what was happening with the vehicle,” Bazydlo said. “Was it being locked? Unintentionally unlocked? We don’t know.”

The plot thickens.

Would-Be Thief Tried To Rob Young Dolph, Caught The Universal Fade For His Trouble

Trouble Welcome Home Party Hosted By Fetty Wap, Young Dolph & John Wall

Don’t think just cause these young rappers don’t spit that extra hardcore sh*t that rappers are known for that they don’t get down on these streets.

A would be robber found that out the hard way this past New Year’s Eve when he tried to relieve Young Dolph of some of his heavy jewelry at a club in Miami Beach’s club Cameo.

Video footage captured the moment that the struggle thief was handed a universal beatdown at the hands of the Memphis Ten-A-Key rapper’s crew while Ella Mai’s “Trip” blurted out of the club’s speakers. Not exactly a beatdown type of song but we guess it does have the kind of range to become one.

Either way, the offender caught all kinds of hands and feet for what seemed to be a few minutes before club security stepped in to save whatever he had left of his hide and pride. Ella Mai meanwhile continued to be the bomb. Imagine how much worse that beatdown would’ve been had M.O.P. been bumping in the club?

Check out the video of the universal below.
