Trey Songz has settled a lawsuit where he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a 2016 party in Los Angeles.
According to Radar Online, the woman sued Songz for $25 million. The settlement amount was undisclosed.
“The settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement,” settlement docs read. “A request for dismissal will be filed no later than June 10, 2024.”
The suit initially named Songz, Atlantic Records, Kevin Liles, and 300 Entertainment and had accusations of sodomy.
Five years ago, R&B singer Trey Songz found himself embroiled in controversy when he was hit with a $25 million civil lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe, accusing him of sexually assaulting her at a 2016 house party. Court documents obtained by Radar Online reveal that Trey Songz informed the court of the settlement, stating that the conditional agreement will lead to the dismissal of the case upon the satisfactory completion of specified terms. These terms are to be fulfilled within 45 days of the settlement date, with a request for dismissal expected to be filed no later than June 10, 2024.
Although the lawsuit initially demanded $25 million in damages, the terms of the settlement remain undisclosed. The resolution of the case means that the trial date, which had been set for September 16, 2024, will now be vacated.
The decision to settle the lawsuit brings closure to a chapter of legal turmoil for Trey Songz, who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct in the past. Kicking off in Macon, Georgia, on February 22, 2024, the tour consists of 24 shows. The artist presale began on Wednesday, December 13, while the local, venue, and promoter presales will commence on Thursday, December 14, from 10 AM to 11:59 PM, with the code “BPC.”

An exclusive report from TMZ has revealed that a woman has alleged that the attorney for the alleged victim in the sexual assault case against Trey Songz offered her up to $200K to assure Songz’s guilt in the pending case.
Mariah Thielen says that when she met with Jauhara Jeffries’ attorney Ariel Mitchell in Miami in early 2021, Mitchel was carrying a gun and reeked of marijuana, according to court transcripts. Thielen then said that Mitchell offered her between $100K-200K to lie and say that Songz assaulted Jeffries, being that Thielen was present during the night in question. According to Thielen, Mitchell said she was trying to paint Trey as “the nextR. Kelly.”
She claims Mitchell’s plan was to go to Songz’s legal time in hopes of landing a monetary settlement that would make her $200K payday even larger.
Thielen reportedly turned the offer dwon and reported the meeting to Songz’s legal team.
Mitchell denies the claims, telling TMZ, “We’re highly confident and certain the court will find the witness committed perjury. Parties are still awaiting the judges’ further instructions on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the hearing.”
Mitchell’s partner, George Vrabeck, withdrew from the case, stating there was “multiple grounds for withdrawal” that existed under the Florida Rules for Professional Conduct, but Mitchell says that’s only because, “He will be representing me against the parties involved in this disgraceful motion brought by Trey Songz and his representatives.”
